(More customer reviews)If you're an instant-ramen connoisseur, this is the noodle you've been searching for. Bowl Noodle is far better than any other instant noodle I've had. The broth is cloudy, rich, and immensely flavorful compared to any soup, not just other instants, but surprisingly light on the tongue and stomach... much unlike the, heavy, bland dollar-a-dozen cardboard noodle. (To emphasize the difference: Top Ramen and Ichiban actually make me throw up now, just because they're too bland and... cardboard... -esque... I can stomach Maruchan if I fill it with my entire spice cabinet.) Bowl Noodle has the same punch as Campbell Hearty when it comes to taste. Two of them fill me perfectly if I'm in desperate hunger. I'll have one for a snack instead of chips because it's a lot quicker and more satisfying. I recommend these to all my ramen-eating friends and they love them to death, but they're around 5-10x more expensive than Maruchan. Every penny is worth it, though. To those who buy: you're in for a treat. Enjoy!

(More customer reviews)As far as noodles in a cup goes this is one of the best I've had. Actual recognizable small chunks of dehydrated veggies, mostly mushrooms and onions that I could make out. Descent noodle quality and a very hot and spicy seasoning mix. They don't show it on the picture here but I'm pretty sure this is the hot and spicy cup. It looks exactly like the one I just had but the words 'hot and spicy' are just to the left of the symbol and are not visible in the pic. If you like spicy noodles definitely don't pass this up.

(More customer reviews)Happy Pho is fantastic. Delicious, healthy AND easy to make. I've made the soup and I've used the noodles alone in stir-fry. Both were delicious.
I traveled to Vietnam a couple years ago and have been a big fan of pho ever since. When a friend mentioned Happy Pho to me, I went ahead and ordered some. Healthy Pho I can make at home?? I'm in. Keep in mind that I'm a bachelor and don't do a lot of cooking.
The first time i wanted to make it, I realized i didn't have a few of the basic ingredients that it calls for. So I just stir-fried the noodles with broccoli. The noodles are made from whole grains yet only 2 minutes to boil? A healthy bachelor's dream. In fact, since then I figured out that its pretty easy to just cook them straight in the wok. But I digress.. The noodles were delicious! The tastiest noodles i can recall making at home.
Ok, second time around I went all out and made the Pho soup. I rarely cook for other people, but i had someone coming over so figured we'd eat in, and I'd cook Happy Pho. I felt like Kung Fu Pandd making my delicious secret soup! I was a little nervous, since i hadn't tried the spice pack. Well, it was delicious too. My friend and I both loved it, and it only took about 10 minutes to do everything..
Its a keeper! I can easily see it becoming one of my healthy bachelor staples.

They make the picture on the package look appealing but it doesn't look anything like the product inside. Add hot water and wait 3 minutes......doesn't that sound familar? I'd would never waste my money on this stuff again. I can get 3 containers of ramen cup of noodles for 99 cents and it's the same stuff this is.

(More customer reviews)I ordered these as a Lightning Deal. Never tried it but it was like 50% off. I love spicy food and can never find anything I consider "spicy" anymore. Cooked these expecting "spicy" to be "tangy" as usual. WRONG!
I drained 95% of the water out like I do with Ramen Noodles. Put the flavor packet on, and WOW it was SPICY. But I love it - great flavor. I had to cool my mouth down with chocolate milk. This from a guy who always orders the spiciest level at any ethnic eatery I go to.
I'm sure if you don't drain all the water out before eating like I do, it will be fine. I plan on draining about 75% out next time. Finally, a food labeled "spicy" that actually is!

(More customer reviews)These are a little different than your average ramen noodle. They still contain the artery-clogging amounts of fat (they are FRIED in palm oil, after all,) the high sodium and the whopping 380 calories per pack.
However, these are Taiwanese-style noodles, which are a little thinner and have somewhat more flavor - good enough to eat dry. They also contain two packets of seasoning. One of sesame oil, and one of chicken flavor with sesame seeds. In all, a hard on the body but oh-so-tasty edible. Just don't eat them for every meal!

(More customer reviews)This was a very delightful surprise! This box is the 8 ounce size for 4 people. This brand also comes in a double box size to serve 8 (or 4 people 2 separate times). This has pesto flavor and is very rich tasting, but takes just minutes to prepare. Very tasty and very good deal for the price. Add a salad and/or bread and you're set. Nice change from the usual "what can we make quickly for dinner" list! FYI, the chicken does not come with it, so you can prepare it with or without chicken--very tasty either way.

(More customer reviews)These are stocked in the snack room at work. I tried a few and thought they were pretty good, so I now have them at home for quick snacks. They taste about as good as canned soups, but calling them "soup" is a stretch. These are powdered mixes, so the soup is broth and noodles. I'm OK with that for a snack, but these would never be confused with stew or even real soup. ;-)
For me, the main attraction is convenience. They mix fairly well with hot water, but I use a small battery-powered blender to eliminate the clumps. This doesn't work so well for the ones with noodles.
My main concern is the sodium. I usually dilute it with at least 30% more water because it's just too salty. The calories are fairly low except for the tomato, which I found surprising. But I see that there's 13g of sugar in every packet. Wow!

These are my favorites in order of preference:
1. Tomato: This is pretty good tomato soup -- guess it's the sugar. ;-) And it's too salty.
2. Chicken Noodle with White Meat: The "white meat" is just a memory (no chunks), but still, it's pretty good. Too salty.
3. Cream of Chicken: Not exactly "creamy", but slightly thicker than the chicken noodle. Too salty.
The price is amazing. At $16.64 for 12 4-packet boxes, it's 35¢/packet. I usually use two for an afternoon snack/meal that will last me a couple of hours for less than $1.00. These same boxes are available elsewhere for up to twice this price.
I like buying by the case, but I wish they had a variety pack. They have a shelf life of about a year.
The 4 rating is because of the sodium. I would give it a 5 if it were lower.

Panda Noodle Soup Bowl, Chicken Flavor, 3.25 Ounce Cup (Pack of 18) Review

(More customer reviews)I recently tried this brand of Noodle from Amazon. I came away so disappointed, I will be throwing away the rest of the case. I purchase and consume a lot of noodles, and I can say without a doubt this is the worst tasting noodle product I have ever had.
To begin with, the package itself, while attractive to the eye, is built with a thinner cardboard then other noodle bowls. By the time it was done cooking, the bottom half of the bowl was starting to soften up to the point I was afraid the bottom would fall off. It left a wet, slimy spot on my table after I was done trying it. Other noodle bowls use plastic, or a higher grade of cardboard that does not soak up like this.
If you fill the water up to the line, it will also spill out of the bowl during cooking. This left a nice mess in the bottom of the microwave. Since there was way more water than needed, I would recommend, if you still buy this, filling up the water below the line.
Finally the taste was gag inducing. I am not exaggerating at all here. The aroma smelled sour. The noodle itself had a plastic taste. The seasoning was so mild, it did nothing to hide the sour noodle. I had to spit out my second mouthful, unable to swallow. The broth, or soup, in the bowl tasted like water, because the seasoning adding nothing. They advertise it as a low fat food, but that does not explain the taste.
Avoid this noodle at all cost.
