(More customer reviews)I really do like the flavor of this soup. I don't find the flavor bland at all, but I also don't smoke or eat a lot of salt or sugar (things that can greatly affect one's ability to taste flavors). I don't add anything to this soup and enjoy it for lunch once or twice a week. The portion is just right. I wish it was available for subscribe & save.
HOWEVER, the lid sucks! I do spill a good tablespoon or so getting the lid to peel off and inevitably have to wash my hands and wipe off the counter. There's just no easy way around it that I can figure out. That is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. But the soup is so much better than it's competition that I still buy it regularly.

(More customer reviews)According to Campbell's, Camden, NJ, Headquarter's Customer Service Department, I was told that sales of Campbell's Scotch Broth Soup have been discontinued in the USA.
In the New England region, I first noticed Campbell's Scotch Broth Soup disappearing from grocery store shelves during the Summer of 2010.
I soon learned that, at a 2010 annual Campbell's USA business, sales planning meeting, it was decided to discontinue distributing Campbell's Canadian made soups in the USA, that require higher priced ingredients, thus allowing for higher profit for Campbell's U.S. division.
Instead, for the U.S. market, it was decided to introduce more cheaply produced, U.S. manufactured children's theme soups, (such as Dora the Explorer), which utilize the same, cheap chicken soup base as many of their other soups, so Campbell's could grow profits at a rapid rate, well into the future.
So, you see, Maximum Profit, not popularity, is the actual reason why Scotch Broth, among other products, (such as Pepper Pot Soup), have been discontinued...Profit rules supreme at Campbell's these days. Shame on Campbell's for ruining and discontinuing a once great and complete line of products available in the USA.
But, Canadians can still buy and enjoy Campbell's Scotch Broth because, although no longer available in the USA, Campbell's Scotch Broth is still manufactured and sold in Canada, which you can see when visiting their Canadian website by googling: "campbellsoup.ca"
Why aren't Americans worthy of Campbell's better quality soups, such as Scotch Broth?

Lots of noodles that kept floating to the top and a little weak. Try two at a time if you're making a small mug. Surprisingly, the much maligned Liptons Chicken noodle has a much better flavor. Notice this says "Chickeny" not Chicken. There's a difference.

(More customer reviews)I have been buying this brand of boneless and skinless sardines for years and still love to just open a can and eat them for a snack. I know that being boneless and skinless lowers the calcium level but I've never liked the crunch or taste of eating a whole sardine right from the sea. And they are packed in olive oil which is loaded with Omega 3's too so it's as good for you as are the sardines. However, I am not so sure about their actual mercury levels. Buying them from Amazon with their $10. off sale on $49. purchases is a great price. I've even found that many of the local grocery stores as well as Costco and BJ's NO longer carry this product. Or their price has skyrocketed. It's great to be able to stock pile them from Amazon. If you like sardines, you'll love these! And they are just so nutritious for us all.

(More customer reviews)This was a very delightful surprise! This box is the 8 ounce size for 4 people. This brand also comes in a double box size to serve 8 (or 4 people 2 separate times). This has pesto flavor and is very rich tasting, but takes just minutes to prepare. Very tasty and very good deal for the price. Add a salad and/or bread and you're set. Nice change from the usual "what can we make quickly for dinner" list! FYI, the chicken does not come with it, so you can prepare it with or without chicken--very tasty either way.

Lipton Cup-a-Soup, Spring Vegetable, 4-Count Pouches per Box (Pack of 12) Review

(More customer reviews)These are stocked in the snack room at work. I tried a few and thought they were pretty good, so I now have them at home for quick snacks. They taste about as good as canned soups, but calling them "soup" is a stretch. These are powdered mixes, so the soup is broth and noodles. I'm OK with that for a snack, but these would never be confused with stew or even real soup. ;-)
For me, the main attraction is convenience. They mix fairly well with hot water, but I use a small battery-powered blender to eliminate the clumps. This doesn't work so well for the ones with noodles.
My main concern is the sodium. I usually dilute it with at least 30% more water because it's just too salty. The calories are fairly low except for the tomato, which I found surprising. But I see that there's 13g of sugar in every packet. Wow!

1. Tomato: This is pretty good tomato soup -- guess it's the sugar. ;-) And it's too salty.
2. Chicken Noodle with White Meat: The "white meat" is just a memory (no chunks), but still, it's pretty good. Too salty.
3. Cream of Chicken: Not exactly "creamy", but slightly thicker than the chicken noodle. Too salty.
The price is amazing. At $16.64 for 12 4-packet boxes, it's 35¢/packet. I usually use two for an afternoon snack/meal that will last me a couple of hours for less than $1.00. These same boxes are available elsewhere for up to twice this price.
I like buying by the case, but I wish they had a variety pack. They have a shelf life of about a year.
The 4 rating is because of the sodium. I would give it a 5 if it were lower.

I add shrimps and baby corns and broccoli (sometimes a little cooked rice) and it's a super fast cold (or hot) weather meal in minutes. If you like Thai food, don't hesitate to try it.
When I find it, I always buy lots. I've just used my last packet since we moved to Canada, and I'm so glad to find it at Amazon.

Chicken Noodle is hard to find since Grandma made the best ever from scratch. I've tried so many cans and mixes I almost didn't want to waste anymore money in search of good soup that was seemingly nowhere to be found. This was on sale for $13 and I bit the bullet. Thank goodness!!!!! I loved it - I added nothing but assumed it would need salt, pepper, chicken, and veggies added to be good. But this is great all on it's own. I went to put it away twice and each time had another cup. I'd always rather have homemade but I am so happy to find something edible that doesn't taste like it's package or like chemicals or preservatives, now I need to try another Bear Creek flavor.
