(More customer reviews)I am a huge fan of Beer Creek's Chicken Noodle Soup. The soup is delicious and I buy it by the case. I decided to try the Vegetable Beef. Bought a case and ended up not liking it at all. It just seems to have a horrible taste -no vegetable or beef flavor at all. So if you happen to try this one FIRST, don't use it as an example......it's just a matter of personal taste because the Chicken Noodle is a 10-star soup!!

(More customer reviews)...virus and flu have been rampant here since the SPRING. The homefront grew tired of the old Chicken Noodle Soup standby. I needed something I could use to add fresh or frozen veggies and leftovers to make something quick and nutritious. This also is great for making soup from "almost" scratch. It's good as a veggie broth. It really comes in handy to cook rice instead of using salt for flavoring.
Although a good product the pricing makes a BIG difference,I got it for 26 bucks.
I only gave it 4 STARS due to it's high sodium content, it is a bit salty - 1 teaspoon = 41% of your DAILY salt intake. The two pack will hold me over for awhile.

My only complaint is that I think the sodium content is a little high, therefore I make sure to use plenty of liquid with whatever I am adding this to so that it's not too salty. I wish Rapunzel offered this broth product in a jar with lower sodium. I use other Rapunzel products, they are always top-notch.

(More customer reviews)I really was shocked to see directions using 1/2 gallon of milk, and 1 1/2 gallons of water. Another instance of not enough information to help me know what I was buying. I thought there would be quantities for family use. At least the can will store what is not used. Let's see if I use 2 cups of milk and 6 cups of water how much of the mix do I use? Then there is a recipe on the can for tomato bisque soup that adds heavy cream to figure out... It is a good thing I like math.

However, there are those inconvenient moments in my life or even times when I don't feel like cooking! Then, I pull out what I call my "dirty little secret." :) I LOVE this soup-- I amp it up with a healthy dose of EVOO and a generous amount of fresh grated parm reg. I top the whole deal off w/homemade sourdough croutons, roasted w/EVOO and parm. The whole deal takes 15 minutes and you have an amazingly tasty meal. Highly recommended! (I get ticked when I can't find it at the grocery store, which has been a lot lately. So, I just go ahead and order my sixer here)

(More customer reviews)These are stocked in the snack room at work. I tried a few and thought they were pretty good, so I now have them at home for quick snacks. They taste about as good as canned soups, but calling them "soup" is a stretch. These are powdered mixes, so the soup is broth and noodles. I'm OK with that for a snack, but these would never be confused with stew or even real soup. ;-)
For me, the main attraction is convenience. They mix fairly well with hot water, but I use a small battery-powered blender to eliminate the clumps. This doesn't work so well for the ones with noodles.
My main concern is the sodium. I usually dilute it with at least 30% more water because it's just too salty. The calories are fairly low except for the tomato, which I found surprising. But I see that there's 13g of sugar in every packet. Wow!

These are my favorites in order of preference:
1. Tomato: This is pretty good tomato soup -- guess it's the sugar. ;-) And it's too salty.
2. Chicken Noodle with White Meat: The "white meat" is just a memory (no chunks), but still, it's pretty good. Too salty.
3. Cream of Chicken: Not exactly "creamy", but slightly thicker than the chicken noodle. Too salty.
The price is amazing. At $16.64 for 12 4-packet boxes, it's 35¢/packet. I usually use two for an afternoon snack/meal that will last me a couple of hours for less than $1.00. These same boxes are available elsewhere for up to twice this price.
I like buying by the case, but I wish they had a variety pack. They have a shelf life of about a year.
The 4 rating is because of the sodium. I would give it a 5 if it were lower.

Liked it so well that the Maggi search took me to Amazon. The product was available at a very reasonable price and no s/h charge for a case. Ordered two 48 package cases which arrived quickly and in excellent shape. We follow a Maggi Hot & Sour Soup technique of adding a well stirred egg slowly in to the soup [stir in one direction] about two minutes before it's finished. You'll soon ask the question - where did all those noodles come from? HA! Enjoy a treat...

TIP: Instructions recommend letting the soup sit for 5 minutes before eating. I suggest 10 is better if you want the noodles and veggies to be soft. Aldente'... go with 5 minutes. Expect that either way you'll be having HOT soup and the mealtime from the time you mix it until you finish eating it may be as long as 30 minutes.
I like the flavor of this soup and the spiral noodles are fun. For me the taste gets better with the addition of a sprinkle or two of seasoning salt. Served with your favorite crackers, this is a fast, tasty meal for lunch or snack.
NOTE: My second favorite flavor of the Nile Spice Soups is their Minestrone (strong tomato flavor) followed by the Lentil. All of the soups benefit from sitting a bit longer than the recommended time for best flavor development.
