I bought to add to quiches, and it makes them so much tastier. I have not used it for it's intended purpose for dips, but I'm sure it will be wonderful.

Nong Shim Bowl Noodle - Hot and Spicy Flavor
Nong Shim Bowl Noodle is the Cup of Noodles alternative for people who like to eat seasoned and spicy foods. Although both Nong Shim Bowl Noodle are high in sodium and probably around the same level with regard to nutritional value, this bowl of soup although not intended to act as a complete meal, can certainly be a good portion of a meal, adding on additional side dishes like a bowl of rice, a fried egg, or eaten with a Korean favorite "kimchee." A tasty bowl of soup that is quick to prepare (add hot water and wait a few minutes) and ready to enjoy.

I've been having trouble finding this in my local grocery stores, so I ordered a case. This stuff is great - toss with veggies or potatoes and a little olive oil and roast. Delicious! Sprinkle over fish with some breadcrumbs and dot with butter or olive oil and bake. I have no idea if you can actually make soup with it, and don't care. I use it just to season foods and it's excellent.

Lipton Cup-a-Soup, Spring Vegetable, 4-Count Pouches per Box (Pack of 12) Review

Average Reviews:

These are stocked in the snack room at work. I tried a few and thought they were pretty good, so I now have them at home for quick snacks. They taste about as good as canned soups, but calling them "soup" is a stretch. These are powdered mixes, so the soup is broth and noodles. I'm OK with that for a snack, but these would never be confused with stew or even real soup. ;-)
For me, the main attraction is convenience. They mix fairly well with hot water, but I use a small battery-powered blender to eliminate the clumps. This doesn't work so well for the ones with noodles.
My main concern is the sodium. I usually dilute it with at least 30% more water because it's just too salty. The calories are fairly low except for the tomato, which I found surprising. But I see that there's 13g of sugar in every packet. Wow!
Cal/Fat . . . Salt . . Sugar . . . Flavor
. 45/10 . . 470mg . . 01g . . Spring vegetable
. 45/10 . . 550mg . . 00g . . Chicken noodle with white meat
. 60/10 . . 600mg . . 02g . . Hearty chicken noodle
. 60/10 . . 630mg . . 04g . . Cream of chicken
. 90/00 . . 520mg . . 13g . . Tomato
(Sorry about the periods, but Amazon keeps compressing out multiple spaces.)
These are my favorites in order of preference:
1. Tomato: This is pretty good tomato soup -- guess it's the sugar. ;-) And it's too salty.
2. Chicken Noodle with White Meat: The "white meat" is just a memory (no chunks), but still, it's pretty good. Too salty.
3. Cream of Chicken: Not exactly "creamy", but slightly thicker than the chicken noodle. Too salty.
The price is amazing. At $16.64 for 12 4-packet boxes, it's 35¢/packet. I usually use two for an afternoon snack/meal that will last me a couple of hours for less than $1.00. These same boxes are available elsewhere for up to twice this price.
I like buying by the case, but I wish they had a variety pack. They have a shelf life of about a year.
The 4 rating is because of the sodium. I would give it a 5 if it were lower.

I've loved this soup since I was a kid, and now my daughters love it, too! It's a "light" soup, great for upset stomachs that can't handle eating much; unlike canned soups it doesn't have that "greasy" component to it that can make canned soups too heavy for an upset tummy. Plenty of flavor on it's own, but not an overpowering taste so it's great to pair with a sandwich or something else to make a great light meal or snack. My daughters ask me to fix this for them all the time. Only bad thing is that Amazon seems to be the only place to get it these days, so I have to time my purchases right to have this on hand. But I've never had problems with getting it promptly from Amazon. Getting ready to order another case of it!

Surprised pleasantly by this product which I originally purchased locally here in AZ for $1.39 a package [got two for the trial]. Liked it so well that the Maggi search took me to Amazon. The product was available at a very reasonable price and no s/h charge for a case. Ordered two 48 package cases which arrived quickly and in excellent shape. We follow a Maggi Hot & Sour Soup technique of adding a well stirred egg slowly in to the soup [stir in one direction] about two minutes before it's finished. You'll soon ask the question - where did all those noodles come from? HA! Enjoy a treat...

I keep a bunch of these in my office drawer for emergency lunches and snacks, and I love them. They taste great (not exactly chicken-y, but to me that's a plus), the nutrition isn't too bad -- certainly not when compared with mainstream instant ramen packages with their artery-hardening sodium levels and fried noodles (these are baked, and the sodium level isn't too bad), and the convenience simply can't be beat. They may not taste like "authentic" Japanese ramen noodles, but authenticity isn't their strength; instead, they allow you to enjoy convenience foods without incurring such a high cost to your body. Enjoy!

Dr. McDougall's Right Foods Vegan Pilaf Chicken Flavor, 2.7-Ounce Cups ( Pack of 6) Review

Dr. McDougall's Right Foods Vegan Pilaf Chicken Flavor, 2.7-Ounce Cups ( Pack of 6)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm a long-time customer of McDougall Right Foods, dating back to early 2004.
The main selling point of Right Foods cups is that they are "vegan", meaning that there are nothing animal-related in them (no meat, fish, dairy, eggs, or byproducts of such). All ingredients are natural (no chemicals added). Even the cup container itself is labeled "food-grade". Some (not all) food cups contain only organic ingredients, and some are gluten-free; each cup is so labeled if applicable.
The cups provide a fast snack or meal-idea: pour boiling water into the cup, stir, let stand a few minutes, and eat or pour over such as pasta and rice.
The company does well to make the food cups taste good, and each individual will have his/her own favorites.
Keep in mind that McDougall food cups are aimed at the vegan/health-consicious market. Since they are pricey (the large cups go for almost $2.00 each), I wouldn't recommend them for non-vegans/vegetarians, as there are many less-expensive (and less-healthy) alternatives.Amazon sells the food cups for less than the Right Foods website does; the company website has a larger variety.
Those who are vegan or thinking of becoming vegan would do well to visit Dr. McDougall's website (drmcdougall dot com) for more information.

Dr. McDougall's Golden Pilaf combines hearty brown and white rice with Belgian durum wheat semolina pasta, peas, carrots, and toasted garlic with herbs and spices. Its vegetarian chicken flavor is so authentic, you'd think it was the real thing (your arteries will know the difference, though). Chicken-flavored Pilaf combines heart-healthy, all-natural ingredients in a generous individual serving cup with a fresh flavor packet. Like all Dr. McDougall's Right Foods, this convenient cup meal contains no saturated fat or cholesterol. Dr. McDougall's Right Foods are always natural, heart healthy, and vegan, meeting guidelines for heart healthy foods low in fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol. Eating a heart healthy diet may reduce the risk of heart disease; it's also a great way to stay active and lean. I was very excited to find this item since Lipton changed it's recipe. This product is from Canada, but is almost identical to the old Lipton Hearty Chicken Noodle Soup that used to be sold in the USA. Unlike the new version, there are no hard carrot blocks to filter out of this soup. Great taste for a quick meal, or when you aren't feeling well.

When we placed the order, we had a baby coming and were expecting a lot of sleepless hours. What better to recharge with than good old fashion chicken soup? Well, now baby just got here and if the first couple of nights is any indication, we will spend a lot of sleepless nights feeding and calming the baby and recharging ourselves with this delicious soup. One package isn't enough, but two packages and some rice makes a really good filling meal. And it's as easy as boiling water.
