Eukanuba Adult Large Breed Formula Dry Dog Food Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have two Giant Schnauzers. When I rescued my first Giant Schnauzer over 5 years ago, I researched dog foods. I knew I was NOT going to be feeding a raw diet and preferred a dry food. After researching I went with Eukanuba Large Breed Adult Dog food. My dogs love it! My 2 dogs are muscled up, work well, are healthy, have shiny coats and plenty of energy. I don't supplement their food. The vet always comments on how healthy my dogs are. I highly recommend this dog food for anyone, especially a large breed owner. I haven't ordered the food through Amazon simply because I pass a Petco on a regular basis. Now, if Amazon would offer this on a subscribe and save plan... I'd probably order through Amazon, since it's something I need on a regular basis. I took one star off since I can't subscribe to get the dog food, very inconvenient.

Near East Mediterranean Curry Couscous Mix, 5.7-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have had this the Pine Nut, the Parmesean, Roasted Garlic, and Chicken and by far the Mediterranean Curry is hands down the best flavor. It's not an extreme curry but spiced well enough to make this my default favorite from Near East. I prefer eating this over rice and make this a meal itself as it truly takes 5 minutes on a medium high flame for the consistency I like.

HAPPY PHO - Zesty Ginger, GLUTEN FREE Vietnamese Brown Rice Pho Noodle Soup, 4.5 oz, 2 SERVINGS Per Box (Pack of 6) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My family lovees to eat pho and since we are on a gluten free diet, we decided to try Happy Pho since it got rave reviews. We were so excited when the box came on our front porch but our excitement was short-lived. The spice packet was awful. It tasted old and bitter (alot of cardamon). I don't mind cardamon, but it tasted off. On the plus side, the noodles were good, but it is awfully expensive to buy it just for the noodles. We bought fresh ingredients as suggested and squeezed alot of lime, but it didn't help any. We ended up throwing away the spice packets and used the noodles to make other things.

Star Anise Foods debuts the world's first and only Vietnamese pho noodle soups made from 100% brown rice with a touch of organic green tea, HAPPY PHO. You will totally love our pho! HAPPY PHO is created from an authentic Vietnamese family recipe dated back to the 1920s. We combine nutritious, low sodium noodles with an all natural, savory spice packet soup base. Unlike some of the pho soup that you find at restaurants & currently on the shelves, HAPPY PHO is made from 100% brown rice noodles & has no MSG. It tastes absolutely delicious! A healthy, easy meal made by simply adding fresh ingredients. Traditionally, the broth can take up to 8 hours to perfect. We however, condensed hours of broth making into a simple spice packet, added a nutritional twist to the noodles and made it quick and easy to prepare. Now you can make GLUTEN FREE, tasty Vietnamese brown rice pho noodle soup meals in 15 minutes in the comfort of your own home. HAPPY PHO has 2 components in each box: brown rice noodles with organic green tea and a soup packet of organic and all natural spices. Pho (pronounced "fuh"), a bowl of noodles in steaming hot broth with subtle spices and fresh herbs, is considered the Vietnamese soul food. "Between dodging motorbikes and cars that streamed unimpeded by stoplights, we slurped bowl after bowl of Vietnam's answer to Japan's ramen and China's lo mein", famed food writer Mimi Sheraton enthused about pho in the March 2010 edition of the Smithsonian Magazine. She also called pho the current "culinary rage" in the United States.

Uncle Ben's Ready Rice Pouch, Whole Grain Brown, 8.8-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 12) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I love rice and really had hopes that this product would be great. Rice can be a pain to make, with this only taking 90 seconds in the microwave, it was really appealing! Really I should have known better though... a product being cooked in a plastic bag is going to come out smelling like plastic. The smell of plastic was pretty stomach turning, couldn't possibly be good for you....

Taste Of The Wild Grain-Free Dry Dog Food, High Prairie w/Roasted Bison, 5 Pound Bag Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I couldn't understand why one of my dogs had almost daily diaherra but finally read that dogs find cornmeal difficult to digest - and it's in lots of different dog foods! Well, a trip to a fancy pet store yielded lots of samples for me to try on my dog and Taste of the Wild was a quick hit - loaded with protein -30% - any no grain at all. Corn is nowhere to be seen o\in the list of ingredients but bison, venison and fruits and veggies sure are. Naturally you have to pay more for such goodness - lots more - but my dog's digestive system is now fine and Taste of the Wild is the reason.

Textured Vegetable Protein Chunks, 1 lb. Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I love these TVP chunks as a veggie substitute in recipes that call for chicken. It is great in "chicken" curries, casserole, and creamy soups and stews. Although TVP is normally really boring, these chunks have a great texture and seems to have a really good taste in sauce-rich recipes. They are slightly more chewy than minced TVP, which makes your recipe more interesting. My meat-eating friends don't seem to spot that this is veggie food, so I suppose that is a plus for entertaining ... :-)
These chunks reconstitute really quickly (about 10 minutes) in water or cooking sauce. So this is a very easy ingredient to use. The chunks provide good value and a tasty addition for veggie cooking.

Durango 95's Training Treats for Dogs, Lamb, 4-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 12) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I'd been looking for the perfect training snack. It had to be small, soft and yummy to the dog. It should also come in an easy to carry container. These treats fit the bill on all counts. The dogs love them. The bag is small and resealable so you just stuff it in your pocket as you run out the door (terrific when your being herded by 3 dogs!) The snacks are soft and small, about the size of a thick postage stamp. These are as close to the perfect training treat I have found!

Custom Culinary Master's Touch Beef Base, 16-Ounce Plastic Jars (Pack of 4) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The soup base appears as a black tarry goo thrust in a plastic pail. However, when put into water and boiled the muck turns into a savory soup too good to imagine. Take two whopping tablespoons of gunk, put it in a large soup vessel filled with water, boil it, add fresh vegetables and cut potatoes and you have a dinner beyond compare for a paltry price compared to canned soup. I make south american beans with the base tool. Enjoy!

Starkist Solid White Albacore Tuna in Water, 3-Count Packages (Pack of 8) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Starkist Solid White Albacore Tuna in Water makes for one of the healthiest foods on your grocer's shelf. At the Amazon price it is economical, too. More importantly, however, this tuna provides you with protein, B vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 is just about the only fatty acid that is actually good for your heart. Your heart loves omega-3; trust me!
Starkist packs the tuna in water to keep it moist and fresh for months at a time while it is in the can before you open it. You may want to drain the water from the can before you remove the tuna. This tuna, as Amazon correctly notes, comes from only the choicest cuts of the fish and it tastes delicious. While you certainly can eat it right out of the can; it mixes particularly well with products like mayonnaise and reduced fat mayonnaise.
One caveat, however: the water/vegetable broth contains soy, salt, and pyrophosphate. If you are allergic to any of these ingredients or if you are on a salt free diet consult your doctor before eating this tuna. Starkist may make this tuna with reduced salt; and there are other brands of tuna that definitely contain less salt.
Overall, Starkist solid white albacore tuna in water offers an amazingly healthy meal. It is especially healthy for you because it is lower in fat and cholesterol than meat or even poultry. It tastes great directly from the can; and it makes an excellent ingredient for tuna fish sandwiches with mayo or any recipe that requires tuna. I highly recommend this tuna for people who want to eat healthy foods; and this tuna fish will never disappoint mothers who want to feed their children well.
ENJOY!!!

StarKist Premium Solid White Albacore Tuna is Starkist's best-tasting, best-quality canned albacore--the filet mignon of canned tuna. Only choice cuts of tuna are used. In recipes, solid white albacore turns even basic tuna dishes into gourmet sensations. Or try it right out of the can to see how delicious tuna can be.
Healthy and nutritious, albacore tuna is also lower in fat and cholesterol than beef or chicken. And it's a natural source of Omega 3, which has been shown to promote heart health. Every drained 2-ounce serving of albacore tuna contains 450 milligrams of Omega 3. Increasing the amount of Omega 3 in your diet is as easy as eating a little more tuna each week.

Buckeye Beans and Herbs Beefed Up Barley Soup, 12-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This Company offers several varieties of soups, but this one is a favorite of my family. When I first told my family they were eating Barley for dinner, they were less than impressed until they tasted it. We now have it almost weekly - it is inexpensive, prepares in no time, healthy and very tasty. I usually prepare it just a bit thicker and then add cheese to the top (ok, that part isn't so healthy)and I never get any complaints about dinner. If I know we're going to be busy on a particular day, I also prepare this soup a day in advance and just heat it up when its time for dinner. Great soup.

Purina ONE Smartblend Adult Lamb & Rice Formula Dry Dog Food Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Our two Standard Poodles have been on Purina One Rice and Lamb since we got them. We have had our male for 4 years and our female for over 8 years. We also had our last two Standard Poodles on Rice and Lamb for even longer. We originally put them on because we had studied all of the available foods and decided this was the best for their health and well being. A fantastic thing about the food is that it really reduces the volume of their feces to about 50% of other dry dog foods. We had both of our old poodles with us when we went full time in our RV for a little over two (2) years; reduced output was a real bonus when scooping all the time. Overall all four of our dogs were health and happy while on this food and had no problems with their skin or coats. A recent change was a new formula with the "Smartblend" which seems to have made our dogs eat the food even better. Both my wife and I believe that this food has helped to make our dogs healthier with the bonus of being easy to find as we travel. I can highly recommend this food. If you switch to it, remember to gradually introduce it while reducing the old food. Feeding all dry is the best way to help prevent dental problems also.

Lundberg Creamy Parmesan Risotto, 5.5-Ounce Units (Pack of 12) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)While traveling through Europe, we stayed at a lovely bed and breakfast in the Swiss Alps. One evening, the owners of the inn prepared a dinner for the guests that included lemon chicken and parmisan risotto. While the chicken was delicious, I fell in love with the creamy yet meaty texture and delicate flavor of the risotto, a perfect accompaniment, and attempted without success to duplicate this dish at home. Recently we began switching to organic and natural foods, and made our first box of Lundberg Organic Parmisan Risotto. I was taken back to that lovely inn with the first delectible bite! I was so amazed that the rich flavor and texture of a homecooked dish could come from a box! This risotto is ideal with so many main courses - chicken, fish, Italian meat dishes - and can also be the foundation of a hearty vegan dish with added vegetables and nuts. I'm impressed with all of the healthy Lundberg products and recommend them without reservation, but this Parmisan risotto remains our family favorite!
