(More customer reviews)This is an easy to make meal that is different from your garden variety meal-in-a-box. I tend to use smoked sausage with the mix. The sausage is precooked so it soaks up flavor from the mix as the whole thing simmers.
When I had more time, I tried mixing smoked sausage and grilled chicken. The chicken was marinated with an off-the-shelf louisiana cajun style marinade and then grilled. Slice and put the chicken in at the end when the rest is done (or the chicken will dry out being "cooked" a second time) and it was fantastic. Since the point of this meal is to be quick, I only did this method once, but it was great.
Only downside is that the meal is a bit oily, and leaves a residue at the bottom of your dish. This just reminds you that this dish is better served as a guilty pleasure than an everyday meal.

(More customer reviews)i've been stuck in the hospital a lot this year and it's meant a lot of the clear liquid diet. This broth is what's getting me through. It's tasty all on its own. When i'm at home and I have to drink clear liquids, the other veggie broths don't have such a rich flavor and suddenly I feel deprived and miserable. So, I decided to get crazy and just spend the $50 on a truly delicious broth so I no longer have to suffer through cup after cup of blandness when i'm ill. I also plan to try it as a base for my potato leek soup and I bet it's hands down the best batch I've ever made. And it comes, already perfectly seasoned, in packet. So awesome.
p.s. It is on the salty side but I am generally not a salt lover and this is a good saltiness. I almost never salt anything. So if you hear it's salty...take it with a grain of salt. Yeah, I said it. (I'm in the hospital ordering tons of broth packets and writing lengthy reviews of my love for it, I needed that joke. Aah how I laughed.)
p.p.s. I think it's a little better if you add about 1.3 of the recommended amout per cup of water.

It's hot yet has this certain sweet flavorful taste to it that leaves me craving more the next day. When we have this powder in the house, it's curry almost every night. Actually, it's more like: curry for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Since we eat it so fast, I stock up on several bottles on each order. Even the organic at our local markets doesn't even come close. I'm not big on having to buy food online which is why I wait and try different brands, but nothing compares. Definitely worth trying.

These treats fit the bill on all counts. The dogs love them. The bag is small and resealable so you just stuff it in your pocket as you run out the door (terrific when your being herded by 3 dogs!) The snacks are soft and small, about the size of a thick postage stamp. These are as close to the perfect training treat I have found!

What a wonder flavor this gives to the pie. My family just loves it. They will make up a small batch themselves with mashed potatoes. This can be found at specialty shops around the US in British shoppes as well. Or you can order it online. Directions are on the cannister. Try it in sheppards pie!!

(More customer reviews)I wish that I could give this 5 stars, it really does taste superb. The problem is that is contains two artificial food colourings (E124 & E102). Both of these are synthetic 'coal tar' dyes, are known carcinogens in animals, are banned in a few countries including the United States, and both are being phased out of use in the UK where Rajah is produced. Neither is recommended to be consumed by children and it can cause allergic reactions.

The seasonings are flavorful and the rice cooks up nicely, unlike instant rice which has an odd extruded look and feel. It is quite salty though - more salty than I like. I have been using sodium free tomatoes and, of course, not salting the water. I will eat the boxes I have but will not order more due to the excessive salty taste.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this flavor healthy choice fresh mixers along with a pasta version. I really have enjoyed this rice version. It prepares in five minutes in the microwave, which can irritate co-workers if they are waiting for their turn, but it is worth the extra few minutes of microwave time.
The rice comes out like you expect rice to be...soft, fragrant and not too chewy. Once you drain the water and fluff with a fork it's perfect. You can warm the sauce in the separate tray for 30 seconds or so, but I find that it not necessary. The heat of the rice warms the sauce nicely.
The flavor of the sauce is definetly southwestern, with little chunks of some kind of meat. (when I say small, I mean small...smaller than peas) There are small chuncks of vegies (tomatoes, onions I think) It is not too spicy, but you know it's southwestern. It has a very nice flavor, and it not too salty like some prepared food can be.
The service is probably about a cup and a half. It does fill me up, but it is not sharable.
I recommend this product.

(More customer reviews)While the restaurants always do it best, these curry pastes are pretty tasty. It's easy to use, fast, and you can add the meat and veggies of your choice. For those of you scared of something spicy, you might use a little less, but for most, it's just right, and for those that like it spicier, you can add a little crushed red pepper. Since the coconut milk has to be added separately, you can also control the fat content--you can go light or go with the much yummier, creamy stuff. For the price, you can't do better--it's affordable, easy, and fun to make!
The panang curry has a nice mellow flavor with some spice and goes quite well with seafood. Some great compliments to this sauce: scallops, shrimp, squid, and fish; if you add all of these, you get an insanely tasy, luxurious meal. Another thing you can do is add a hint of thai basil to cook with all this--it gives it an extra authentic feel and works well with the overall dish!
