(More customer reviews)I used to be able to buy this near my home, but now it's inexplicably disappeared from the supermarket shelves, though other Asian Home Gourmet products are still sold.
My habit in buying from the supermarket was to simply sweep every single package into my basket whenever I came across it. It's that good.
The sweet and sour flavoring works deliciously when mixed into a batch of fried rice. Start by frying in a teaspoon of olive oil srimp and fingernail-size chopped vegetables, add 2 cups or so of cooked rice, and, following that, two or three raw, beaten chicken eggs. When the dish is almost ready to serve, mix in one package of pineapple rice paste, cook a further 2 minutes or so, and serve.
Everyone I've served this to (including some eaters of wide experience) has remarked on the unique flavor. Strongly recommended.

Yellow Curry (Kang Karee) Paste Thai Maesri 4 Oz. Review

(More customer reviews)I use this to replicate a Vietnamese curry I grew up with:
To a large pot add the following:
1 can of Karee Curry Paste with 1 can (14 oz) of coconut milk, 2-3 cups water, 3lbs of chicken, 2 large or 3 medium potatoes (cut to bite-sized cubes) and 2-3 carrots (same as potatoes), 1 large onion (cut into quarters), and a few whole jalepenos (remove the stem). You can also add a stick of lemongrass. You can also substitute coconut milk with regular milk, and eggplant for the chicken (veggie option).
Bring to boil then simmer for 20-30 minutes. Add corn starch to bring the soup to its desired consistency. I like it thicker and stew-like. Salt+MSG to taste. You will need MSG to bring the flavor out - I use 1 part MSG per 1 part salt.
Server over rice or with french bread. You can spritz in some lime (my parents always do) but I like it without the lime.
I'm lazy so this does end up over cooking the chicken a bit, but it ensures the potatoes and carrots are soft and mushy the way I like them - plus no extra steps. Make sure the water covers the chicken. Chicken breast seems to dry out, leg quarters stay tender. If you use eggplant I like to use larger chunks (1.5" or so) since they tend to mush up a bit.
Anyways I love this curry paste. I would get "curry pangs" and have to make this every couple weeks while I was in college. So easy to do and it would feed me for a few days.

It is the the tangiest, tastiest sweet and sour sauce, and has the perfect consistency. It sticks to whatever you dip it in and you really 'taste' the wonderful flavor. It is spectacular on pork chops, but you can use it for whatever you might like a sweet and sour sauce on. It is also terrific on broccoli. I recommend this sauce highly!

What Wok Mei Hoisin Sauce does have, however, is a rich, authentic Chinese Hoisin flavor!We use it as a dipping sauce for our chicken. Once upon a time, actually it was a Wednesday; anyway, I decided to go on my lunch hour from work to the nearest Chinese buffet restaurant. I usually do not frequent the buffet lifestyle because I am afraid of what goes on behind closed doors, and the sneeze guard is just gross. I was happy to see that they had healthier fare to choose from, and sushi, so I filled my plate with steamed veggies, sushi and a dumpling or two. I sat down alone at my table, facing away from everyone because I just have this thing about people watching me eat, and something really brightly red caught my eye. It was in a Giant squeezy bottle, with a rooster on the front; I picked it up and read the label "Huy Fong Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce". Hmmm, a condiment that I haven't heard of, ME the so called Condiment Queen of Gainesville Florida. I squirted a bit on my plate, dipped my chopsticks in it and tasted it, GOOD LORD UP ABOVE, it was Huy Fong good, spicy garlicky vinegary so tasty, I then doused my entire meal with the HazMat red concoction and reveled in its goodness. I rushed out after work to the nearest Asian market, of which I frequent a lot, and there it was so many squeezy bottles how did I ever miss them before? I grabbed three, plus two of my regular Hoi sin bottles, a jar of pickled ginger and proceeded to grin like a Cheshire cat to the register. On the bottle it also says its good on pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta and I have to admit the stuff is good on almost everything. I have used it on all of those things plus baked potatoes, in salad dressings, spaghetti sauce, barbecue, along side dips, its as if it mind melds with whatever it goes on to make a perfect accompaniment for your taste buds. Okay I am dorking out so that means this review is finished. BUY SOME NOW> you won't regret it.

The package includes the spices that one would expect to find in a Tom Yum Thai soup. (More customer reviews)While the restaurants always do it best, these curry pastes are pretty tasty. It's easy to use, fast, and you can add the meat and veggies of your choice. For those of you scared of something spicy, you might use a little less, but for most, it's just right, and for those that like it spicier, you can add a little crushed red pepper. Since the coconut milk has to be added separately, you can also control the fat content--you can go light or go with the much yummier, creamy stuff. For the price, you can't do better--it's affordable, easy, and fun to make!
The panang curry has a nice mellow flavor with some spice and goes quite well with seafood. Some great compliments to this sauce: scallops, shrimp, squid, and fish; if you add all of these, you get an insanely tasy, luxurious meal. Another thing you can do is add a hint of thai basil to cook with all this--it gives it an extra authentic feel and works well with the overall dish!
