Not "screaming" hot, but just right for those who like a bit of a "kick" to their sauces. Highly recommend for chicken. Also excellent on pork.

The most delicious sauce from Thailand. Mae Pranom is the true original brand known to all Thai people and offered in corner stores & vendor carts throughout the country. Mae Pranom dipping sauce is more robust and has slightly higher chile heat than Mae Ploy brand (Mae Ploy brand is more familiar outside of Thailand due to marketing). Especially delicious as a dipping sauce for any kind of chicken, but also goes well with shrimp, fish cake, spring roll, sausage etc. We love this sauce and highly recommend it. The instructions to turn this mix into chili or dip are clear and concise, and include suggestions for "doctoring" it up. Following the directions to the letter will result in a meatless (but not vegetarian - read the ingredient list) chili that is flavorful but not too spicy. I especially love the variety of beans included. My suggestion for perfect chili: add a half pound of spicy turkey sausage (mild is too sweet) and a half pound of lean ground beef. Brown the meat first then add water as indicated on the package (don't increase or decrease the water measure) and follow the directions from there. Yum!

Ok this is one awesomely delicious and simple mix!! The chefs of Cookwell & Company use only Hatch Chile's from the famous chile festival town of Hatch, New Mexico. They combine these special chiles with fire roasted tomatillos cilantro and yellow onions all slow simmered in small batches. All you add is the meat. It is the the tangiest, tastiest sweet and sour sauce, and has the perfect consistency. It sticks to whatever you dip it in and you really 'taste' the wonderful flavor. It is spectacular on pork chops, but you can use it for whatever you might like a sweet and sour sauce on. It is also terrific on broccoli. I recommend this sauce highly!

(More customer reviews)I read the nine reviews that preceded me and wondered how a product depending on a person's taste could consistently receive five stars. Is something suspicious here?
Nope! Here's the tenth five-star rating in a row, and I'm tough. This is the best sauce of its kind (or any kind) I've ever had; and I'm an old guy who's been around. Just the right sweetness, just the right hotness. I'd love to soak a chicken in it, as well as dip egg rolls and chicken nuggets.
These big bottles won't last and I'll be back for more, fer shure. Absolutely more than worth worth the little price, this stuff should be standard in every home, along with plumbing.
And my sincere apologies to those other reviewers for doubting you.

(More customer reviews)What else can I say but YUMMY! Wow, this chili set is a great idea for anyone who likes at least one of these products. With 8 bottles this set is a steal; and I was not swindled on the size of the bottles. My boyfriend is absolutely addicted to the Mae Ploy Sweet Chili Sauce, he uses it on everything! Probably I could have used a gallon of that. Mae Ploy is the perfect combination of sweet and heat if that's what you are looking for. The rest is mine! All mine! Well, mostly... My boyfriend is not quite as much of a pepper belly as I am; I love the heat that for sure! I'm also addicted to garlic and I have a choice of having the Chili Paste with or with out garlic... which is nice.

(More customer reviews)Huy Fong "Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce" is offered in just about every Chinese and Vietnamese restaurant in my area, and with good reason! Unlike at lot of hot sauces, this has a great chili pepper and garlic flavor that compliments most of the dishes I like (particularly good on Pork Lo-Mein) and also provides a good amount of spicy heat. This is not the hottest of the hot sauces but it is on the borderline for several of my friend.
This is really good stuff and we almost always keep a bottle of it on hand to liven up or cooking or when take-out doesn't have enough "zing". It is also great to spread on chicken when grilling but watch the smoke when opening the grill lid, it is like OC spray if it gets into your eyes.

(More customer reviews)This dandy chili mix makes great chili. It is one of the best things I have tasted in a long time. It has a clever concept, which explains why it is a `kit'. The bag has 4 separate packets: a main chile packet (the chili powder has almost no heat, but lots of flavor), a small packet of cayenne, a small packet of salt, and a larger one with masa harina. This way, you adjust the heat, salt, and thickness to your liking; some chile mixes has everything combined, and you cannot change it. One kit is enough for 2 pounds of meat, so larger batches will require more kits.
Course, I did not follow the included recipe. I tossed the salt (I used sea salt instead) and masa flour (it was plenty thick without it) packets, used beef chuck cut into 1 ½ inch cubes instead of ground beef (course, it took that much longer to cook, but so what?), and all of the cayenne packet. Boy was it good.

I added more mixed dried vegetables instead. I used two bags since I love beans particularly in the winter. I almost always find I have to alter spices adding various things, not this time. It truly tastes great. I really liked the variation of beans. It was very easy to make. The quality is excellant and I highly recommend it!
