(More customer reviews)If you're an instant-ramen connoisseur, this is the noodle you've been searching for. Bowl Noodle is far better than any other instant noodle I've had. The broth is cloudy, rich, and immensely flavorful compared to any soup, not just other instants, but surprisingly light on the tongue and stomach... much unlike the, heavy, bland dollar-a-dozen cardboard noodle. (To emphasize the difference: Top Ramen and Ichiban actually make me throw up now, just because they're too bland and... cardboard... -esque... I can stomach Maruchan if I fill it with my entire spice cabinet.) Bowl Noodle has the same punch as Campbell Hearty when it comes to taste. Two of them fill me perfectly if I'm in desperate hunger. I'll have one for a snack instead of chips because it's a lot quicker and more satisfying. I recommend these to all my ramen-eating friends and they love them to death, but they're around 5-10x more expensive than Maruchan. Every penny is worth it, though. To those who buy: you're in for a treat. Enjoy!

(More customer reviews)I have used this for quite a few years and LOVE this sauce. It ain't cheap, but it is SOOOOOOOO tasty! Simple recipe for tonight:
6-10 boneless skinless chicken breasts and 2 bottles of this sauce.
Pour sauce over breasts in a 9x13 or other baking dish. Cover, bake at 350 degrees for one hour and you're set. We serve this with rice and broccoli and use the sauce as a "gravy" on the whole plate of food.
The sauce is a smooth, spicy peanut sauce with a sesame undertone that is just fabulous. It is the best one we've tried, and you could add a little water or coconut milk, but it is about the "heat" of medium salsa, not super hot. You're gonna love it!

(More customer reviews)i've been stuck in the hospital a lot this year and it's meant a lot of the clear liquid diet. This broth is what's getting me through. It's tasty all on its own. When i'm at home and I have to drink clear liquids, the other veggie broths don't have such a rich flavor and suddenly I feel deprived and miserable. So, I decided to get crazy and just spend the $50 on a truly delicious broth so I no longer have to suffer through cup after cup of blandness when i'm ill. I also plan to try it as a base for my potato leek soup and I bet it's hands down the best batch I've ever made. And it comes, already perfectly seasoned, in packet. So awesome.
p.s. It is on the salty side but I am generally not a salt lover and this is a good saltiness. I almost never salt anything. So if you hear it's salty...take it with a grain of salt. Yeah, I said it. (I'm in the hospital ordering tons of broth packets and writing lengthy reviews of my love for it, I needed that joke. Aah how I laughed.)
p.p.s. I think it's a little better if you add about 1.3 of the recommended amout per cup of water.

The package includes the spices that one would expect to find in a Tom Yum Thai soup. While the quality may not be what one might expect to find in a good Thai restaurant, preparation in five minutes is surely an acceptable compromise.

(More customer reviews)Okay, this isn't Gran's made-from-scratch, cooked-all-day, cure-what-ails-you chicken soup (or even broth) but for the eater on a sodium-restricted diet, it's a life saver. Literally. Low sodium food does *not* have to taste bland! Bernard's Chicken Soup Base is a great way to punch up soups, stews, braises, it's even good sprinkled on cooked veg.
Buy a can, see for yourself. If you make it to eat hot as a broth on its own, I would spike the heck out of it with black pepper, dot of hot sauce, some cilantro and parsley. YMMV.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this product thinking it was the Le Gout Chicken Base I love so much. When I got it, the first thing I noticed was the color was a bright mustard-yellow instead of the darker-colored one I was used to. Comparing the labels on the bottles, I then realized this was a "chicken flavor base" instead of "chicken base". Comparing the ingredients, you can see that chicken is not even listed as an ingredient, only chicken fat. Since this is a grocery item it cannot be returned. My mistake, just don't want anyone else to make the same one I did.
