If you're an instant-ramen connoisseur, this is the noodle you've been searching for. Bowl Noodle is far better than any other instant noodle I've had. The broth is cloudy, rich, and immensely flavorful compared to any soup, not just other instants, but surprisingly light on the tongue and stomach... much unlike the, heavy, bland dollar-a-dozen cardboard noodle. (To emphasize the difference: Top Ramen and Ichiban actually make me throw up now, just because they're too bland and... cardboard... -esque... I can stomach Maruchan if I fill it with my entire spice cabinet.) Bowl Noodle has the same punch as Campbell Hearty when it comes to taste. Two of them fill me perfectly if I'm in desperate hunger. I'll have one for a snack instead of chips because it's a lot quicker and more satisfying. I recommend these to all my ramen-eating friends and they love them to death, but they're around 5-10x more expensive than Maruchan. Every penny is worth it, though. To those who buy: you're in for a treat. Enjoy!

Nong Shim Bowl Noodle - Hot and Spicy Flavor
Nong Shim Bowl Noodle is the Cup of Noodles alternative for people who like to eat seasoned and spicy foods. Although both Nong Shim Bowl Noodle are high in sodium and probably around the same level with regard to nutritional value, this bowl of soup although not intended to act as a complete meal, can certainly be a good portion of a meal, adding on additional side dishes like a bowl of rice, a fried egg, or eaten with a Korean favorite "kimchee." A tasty bowl of soup that is quick to prepare (add hot water and wait a few minutes) and ready to enjoy.

Myojo Udon Noddle, Chicken, 7.22-Ounce (Pack of 12) Review

Myojo Udon Noddle, Chicken, 7.22-Ounce (Pack of 12)

The noodles that come with this pack are already cooked and soft and vacuum-sealed. They're like authentic fresh udon noodles. Just don't overcook them, no more than three minutes at a full boil, otherwise they get too soggy/soft. The soup base is rather plain but does have a mild chicken flavor but it isn't meant to taste like spicy oriental-style ramen noodle soup seasoning packets. This really is meant to be garnished with vegetables for a more complete meal, otherwise it doesn't seem very substantial. I add cooked fiddlehead ferns and spinach, sometimes thinly sliced beef also. One serving per package. About 280 cal and 1.5 grams (1500 mg) sodium per pack/serving. OUCH! But that's very common for these types of soup. I generally don't drink the soup anyway so it's not an issue. These noodles are not fried so there's no oil, just a gram of fat per serving/pack.

Yes, you can buy the 10 cents/pack super cheap ramen, but this is more for a reason; it's really good! Sapporo Ichiban has been my favorite ramen for many years. It has probably shortened my life by a decade (God only knows how they make something so cheap so good), but what a way to go!
