(More customer reviews)If you like these, then order them. They're perfect. The box was delivered quickly and it's packed very well. They were all fresh and delicious, so far; we still have a few left. I always forget stuff like this in the grocery store, so it's nice to have it delivered. The kids love them to snack on from time to time.
I like them with a little cayenne pepper and sea salt; as per Dr. Oz, saying that a little cayenne pepper does a lot of good, LOL. Before adding the hot water, add the pepper and salt first so that it can sit with the hot water for the 3 minutes. :)

(More customer reviews)I wondered when Amazon might get around to offering this product. I've loved eating these basic fried and dehydrated noodles for decades, and will be glad to order them by the case. These simple noodles are great with tons of Tabasco--quick and satisfying.
The instructions are plain silly, though. My family has always prepared these noodles this way: 1. boil water in a pot, 2. add in the soup base, 3. add in the noodles, and then cook them together till the noodles are soft enough to eat (I like them slightly undercooked). Cooking the noodles in the soup base makes them taste better. Do not overcook, and do not let noodles sit in soup for too long while eating (e.g., longer than half an hour), or noodles will become too soft and fat.
Then I pull the noodles out first and douse them with hot sauce--so the hot sauce will cling to the noodles as well as the soup--and then pour in the soup. That vinegary Tabasco taste mixed with the salty noodles and soup is very good. The noodles are also good with an egg--cracked into the pot after the soup base, and cooked together with the noodles.

(More customer reviews)You can purchase this product at most any grocery store or YallMart for ~$0.25 each, which equates to $9 for this package. The box weighs next to nothing, so shipping isn't the difference (should be a toss up without the storefront costs), so someone is making a great deal of profit from noodles. Check the other soup packages with nothing but noodles and soup base, and you will find a similar trend. Seems common food items are still the domain of brick & mortar stores.

(More customer reviews)Maruchan Instant Lunch Ramen Noodles with Vegetables provides a hot, satisfying snack in 3 minutes! Each unit comes in it's own container. Just add boiling water to dry contents inside, re-close lid and 3 minutes later you have a hot soup ready to eat!
This product is not the healthiest thing you might find yourself snacking on, but is certainly not the worst either. The worst thing in this cup of soup is the 59% sodium, which is actually quite a lot of sodium compared to most packaged foods. More sodium, even, than packaged macaroni & cheese, which packs a whole lotta sodium - 41%!
So this isn't the kind of thing you want to eat all the time, and seriously do not expect this item to have enough nutrients to keep a body healthy, by eating it as your only item for meals. I recommend this as a snack item only, and only a few times a week.
As a snack-item only, this soup is very tasty and satisfying - and simple enough to make that anyone able to heat & pour boiling water can have a warm, substantial snack!

(More customer reviews)The description on this item does not specify that this is the LOW SODIUM Homestyle Chicken Noodle, though the picture does say so if you look closely. Sadly, Campbell's appears to have discontinued the regular Homestyle chicken noodle (I cannot find it in any grocery stores, or online) and only offers the healthy request and low sodium options. The low sodium is AWFUL!! The flavor is completely flat and almost tasteless, and adding salt does not improve it.
I can understand offering healthier options for parents and others who need to avoid sodium, but I'm ticked off that Campbell's has taken away the regular flavor. I will say that the price here is reasonable - Campbell's soups are approaching $2 a can in many supermarkets - especially if you subscribe. I would happily subscribe if this were the regular Homestyle. As it is, I can't recommend this flavorless soup. I'd rather make my own.

(More customer reviews)Really a tasty flavor that you don't see in the store locally. I love these noodles, several of the flavors are really good but hard to find. There is a Creamy Chicken that I love and just can't find locally or on Amazon where as an Amazon Prime member I get two day shipping for free. If you can get your hands on the Creamy Chicken give it a try. Around here the Roast Beef, Pork, and Beef flavors go faster than other flavors, but any flavor on hand seems to get eaten almost as much.
Our favorite way to fix them is to boil two packages of the noodles in plain water for three minutes, drain and put back in empty pot it was boiled in, add real butter to taste 1 to 2 Tablespoons, and add one packet of the flavor mix, stir thoroughly and serve. Many may prefer them more as a soup but in this household we are a bunch of noodle freaks, quick, cheap, easy what more can you ask of a food.

(More customer reviews)Maruchan, Inc. of Irvine, California, is a subsidiary of the mighty Japanese conglomerate, Toyo Suisan. They have been making those familiar Ramon noodles for years. Yeah, I know, people like making fun of them, but they are handy products, which I have seen used in a number of recipes.
The Maruchan Instant Lunch is very handy. I keep a supply at home for days when I don't feel like making a lunch. (Although, combining one with a cheese sandwich make a very nice lunch!) Unlike the regular Ramon noodles, the instant lunches come with their own cup, so all you have to do is add water and wait, and you get a delicious soup with lots and lots of noodles. (My parents used to buy these, cook them up, and then pour out the soup, eating only the noodles. But, I think that the soup is very good, and I always eat that up as well!)
Each of these packages contain 290 calories (110 calories from fat), and has 38g of carbs, which is not too bad. It does have a whopping 1,180 mg of sodium (49% of your USDA recommended daily allowance), but I do think that that is to be expected from an instant lunch - many canned soups contain two servings per container, and have about the same amount of sodium per serving, and I have known people to consume an entire can of soup for lunch.
So, let me just say that this is not health food. But, what it is is a convenient, low-cost lunch - one that you can leave sitting in the back of a cupboard, or slip into a backpack for a warm meal on an outing. I highly recommend the Maruchan Instant Lunch!
