(More customer reviews)Campbell's may not be a fancy gourmet brand, but everyone knows what they're getting when they buy it- no surprises. Cream of Mushroom soup is a staple in alot of my recipes and I'm not willing to experiment with other brands. Everyone is probably familiar with the contents of the can; I'll talk about the packaging. The cans were delivered in a shrink-wrapped cube of two 24-can cardboard trays- inside an Amazon box, of course. Your delivery man may not appreciate your order- it's not light. This is the small can size- I wish they offered the family size cans or larger sizes. If your recipe requires ALOT of cream of mushroom you will be opening alot of cans. These are the pop-tops, but that is still alot of scraping. Buying this on the subscription plan is a fantastic deal- if you need it I highly recommend it!

(More customer reviews)The description on this item does not specify that this is the LOW SODIUM Homestyle Chicken Noodle, though the picture does say so if you look closely. Sadly, Campbell's appears to have discontinued the regular Homestyle chicken noodle (I cannot find it in any grocery stores, or online) and only offers the healthy request and low sodium options. The low sodium is AWFUL!! The flavor is completely flat and almost tasteless, and adding salt does not improve it.
I can understand offering healthier options for parents and others who need to avoid sodium, but I'm ticked off that Campbell's has taken away the regular flavor. I will say that the price here is reasonable - Campbell's soups are approaching $2 a can in many supermarkets - especially if you subscribe. I would happily subscribe if this were the regular Homestyle. As it is, I can't recommend this flavorless soup. I'd rather make my own.

(More customer reviews)I found this product in a gourmet grocery store, and since I like to make sauces, but don't have the time usually to do it from scratch, I tried it. I taste tested it against three different canned and boxed stocks I have used, and it was better. Depending on the concentration you mix it to, it is always chickeny, just a hint of sweet, and looks just like regular stock. I have even tried putting a quarts worth of the concentrate into a cupful of sauce and it doesn't make it salty, just taste richer, and it doesn't seem to affect the chemistry of sauces, thick or thin, no extra tendency to break. I have since tried all the other flavors with equal success. These are great for gourmet camp cooking too, and can be used any where you need a stock but don't want ot haul all the weight and bulk. Makes great soups too, friends and family rave about my Greek Avgolemeno soup which only uses this as the stock, along with some orzo, lemon, egg and diced cooked chicken.
