Has a lovely sesame flavor with a hint of garlic.
Not too overpowering or underwhelming.
Just......perfect.
Perfect for chicken, beef or just plain on a spoon.

(More customer reviews)I was excited about making this box of goodness. I love pretty much every other "helper" box that Betty Crocker makes, but was thoroughly disappointed by this.
Preparation was easy as can be. The taste however is sub par to say the least. I don't know why everybody thinks that in order to make something "Asian" you have to add a ton of salt. This was unbearably salty. I'm sorry I wasted two chicken breasts making this.
I'm not totally knocking this because it was easy to make, and the concept is good. I would suggest that people only use about half the seasoning pack to try to cut down on the nasty saltiness. I may give this another shot doing just that, but so far it's left a bad taste in my mouth.

Nissin Chow Mein Q and E Spicy Chicken has a sweet dark soy type sauce. Using the modified cooking direction, it tasted quite good. The dried cabbage expanded quite a bit to give more substance to the noodles.

(More customer reviews)With the exception of the beef flavor i have tried every flavor. The only one i would ever buy is the regular chicken flavor it is very good. The shrimp, spicy ...flavors in my opinion is an aquired taste. The chicken flavor is by far the only universal flavor for anyone who eats chinese food. 2 thumbs up.
