It's great on steak, chicken breasts, vegetables...it goes on and on. It's bursting with flavor that will not disappoint. In fact I am having trouble finding it in the grocery store which really bums me out.

(More customer reviews)I've never found take out General Tso's that is not deep fried, but with this sauce you can cook some chicken breast or thighs in a pan, put them over rice and broccoli or mixed veggies, pour on the sauce and microwave to make a reasonably healthy meal. It isn't quite as spicy as some restaurants, but you could always buy some peppers to add.

It's a little like kids' macaroni & cheese out of a box, in that it's filling and takes about 20 minutes to make, except this is usually only eaten on Passover and it's amazing. Children aged 2 and up will have fun squishing matzo goo into balls, and then a responsible adult can put the balls in the heated soup broth (and clean up the mess). My mom was the responsible adult in the above situation for years. One box = roughly half a dozen dinners.

Was very happy and eager to try another choice for Chana Masala from Tasty Bite, especially because Amazon seems to have trouble keeping the Chana Masala's in stock because they are so popular. Did not disappoint! Very enjoyable. Sweet coriander is the most prominent flavor note. The brown savory gravy is delicious. The amount of chili is very mild, so not very hot at all for Indian cuisine. Heat affectionados may want to add chili pickle, or their favorite condiment. Made with onions, chickpeas, tomatoes, sunflower oil, coriander, salt, spices, chilis, bay leaf, and turmeric. 360 calories and 12g protein per pouch. (More customer reviews)I love Muir Glen tomato products but sadly I had to give them up due to their can liners containing bisphenol A (BPA). I will not feed anymore BPA to my kids! It makes me sick that I fed them with BPA laden baby bottles before I knew better. We already have enough cancer in our family. I don't know why anyone is surprised that BPA acts like a synthetic estrogen therefore an endocrine disrupter--BPA was ORIGINALLY developed in the 1930s as a synthetic estrogen drug for women. Shortly after it was developed, a new synthetic estrogen drug came out (DES) so BPA fell by the wayside until someone figured out it could be used in plastics and can liners to help make them harder.
I wrote to Muir Glen (now owned by General Mills) to see if they have any plans to remove BPA from their cans but they did not respond to me. I would be happy to pay a bit more for jarred tomato products if they can't come up with BPA free cans. Or how about tomatoes in cartons or frozen?
Please write to the companies that you buy canned tomatoes from and ask for BPA free products. Let me know if anyone finds BPA free tomato products, such as tomato paste, diced tomatoes, whole tomatoes...by responding to this comment--I will get an email.
I have young children and I will not feed them anymore BPA!!!

(More customer reviews)I was prepared to hate this kit as a gimmick. But I was blown away and have to consider it to produce something superior to other kits and even to most restaurants.
As I was eating the butter chicken, I noted more flavor than I am used to, almost an overuse of cloves...which is not exactly a bad thing. The result was butter chicken at home, at basically half the cost of going to the restaurant. The texture was spot on, unlike the goopy or stringy stuff other at home kits produced.
As an indian food enthusiast who is normally competent in the kitchen but out of his league cooking the stuff, I can only imagine how good it will be for someone who can hack the recipe (like coconut milk instead of half and half? adding something to counteract the clove?)While the rice could have been spiced up too, it was a good amount of rice and therefore an appropriate addition to the kit.
The trick is that instead of one tub of goop added to the meat, there's three different stages of flavor insertion.
So yeah, I am going to be trying other products from these people.

(More customer reviews)This is a tasty sweet-ginger curry with chick peas and a few chunks of potato. The sweetness comes from the chick peas themselves, smartly brought out by the spices chosen. The texture of the vegetables is surprisingly good - modestly firm, not an unrecognizable mush. Unlike most prepackaged meals, I don't mind it cold, though it only takes two minutes in the microwave.
Each package has 480 calories, which is rather incredible for just 10 ounces of Indian food with no ghee or paneer. In fairness, it is high in fiber and protein and low in bad fats, so it is probably an ideal choice for skinny vegans/vegetarians. But for those like me that eat plenty of dairy and meat but are trying to keep a few meals light but flavorful and filling, there are better options, particularly the Dal Bukara (340 calories) and Rajma Masala (270) by the same maker and several options from MTR or Tasty Bite.

For someone like me who has to pay attention to sodium because it spikes my blood pressure, this was a great find. This product has no added salt/sodium. As such, many will find it bland if they don't add a little salt (the cooking instructions do say "salt to taste"). Being used to not using salt in cooking, I found it tasty enough without adding salt. For salt-sensitive folks, this is a great product.

My mother paired it with with cauliflower, spinach, coconut milk, garlic and onion, and it made vegetables I don't usually crave -- utterly craveable. She used to buy the mix at Whole Foods, but since it is no longer available there, we found it at Amazon.com and were happy to split the pack of 12 it comes in! The only trouble is, we may run out too quickly. Highly recommended!

(More customer reviews)Cambells tomato can't compare; especially because there's no can taste! This is a really incredible soup coming from a chef's perspective. The Tomato is a unique one and you can't better the cream from real organic milk. This is unlike most of the other creamed Pacific soups which use Soy. I find it as good on a cold day as hot. For certain a can destroys that kind of delicacy of flavor which is actually the red pepper in the batch held by the carton.
It also heats very well in the Microwave as it's a smooth cream soup: I go with 3:30 min in my Oster 1000 W microwave and the box instructions seem more geared for a 1500 W. Until you see the soup you might think the cartons are like normal Soy milk size but they're actually smaller, one full soup/cereal bowl a carton and personally I like it that way as compared.

It is by far the best that I've found. Use it in moderation, thought, it can be a bit salty. Now we vegetarians can prepare foods a tad more like Mama did.
