My only complaint is that I think the sodium content is a little high, therefore I make sure to use plenty of liquid with whatever I am adding this to so that it's not too salty. I wish Rapunzel offered this broth product in a jar with lower sodium. I use other Rapunzel products, they are always top-notch.

(More customer reviews)I love Muir Glen tomato products but sadly I had to give them up due to their can liners containing bisphenol A (BPA). I will not feed anymore BPA to my kids! It makes me sick that I fed them with BPA laden baby bottles before I knew better. We already have enough cancer in our family. I don't know why anyone is surprised that BPA acts like a synthetic estrogen therefore an endocrine disrupter--BPA was ORIGINALLY developed in the 1930s as a synthetic estrogen drug for women. Shortly after it was developed, a new synthetic estrogen drug came out (DES) so BPA fell by the wayside until someone figured out it could be used in plastics and can liners to help make them harder.
I wrote to Muir Glen (now owned by General Mills) to see if they have any plans to remove BPA from their cans but they did not respond to me. I would be happy to pay a bit more for jarred tomato products if they can't come up with BPA free cans. Or how about tomatoes in cartons or frozen?
Please write to the companies that you buy canned tomatoes from and ask for BPA free products. Let me know if anyone finds BPA free tomato products, such as tomato paste, diced tomatoes, whole tomatoes...by responding to this comment--I will get an email.
I have young children and I will not feed them anymore BPA!!!

1/3 noodles, 1/3 veggies with little bit of chicken and the rest broth.
I personally picked out the noodles and chicken and just had the broth and tender veggies. The chicken was like most canned soups chewy /hard.
If feeding to small child would reccommend to remove the chicken. Also remove or chop the noodles into smaller pieces, because they are large, think noodles.

(More customer reviews)First of all, I normally go out of my way to write positive reviews and avoid negative ones, but this was SO bad I just had to check in. Imagine the BLANDEST chicken flavored Gerber's baby food and then add some water to it and call it soup. That's what this is. On the bright side though (being stuck with a case), I do have a great opportunity to experiment with some of those free Penzey's spice samples and use up some of the overabundance of summer veggies to make this stuff edible.

(More customer reviews)I'm a foodie and love this soup! I avoid gluten, and had missed the comfort and taste of chicken noodle soup for years. This is a real 'adult' chicken soup with nice-sized chunks of chicken, carrots and celery. The picture on the label doesn't do justice to the rice -- the rice inside is a nice, textured, wild rice. Sorry to see that the other reviewers had a bad experience, but I wonder if the cans they received were handled improperly because my experience doesn't resemble theirs at all. I've eaten about 6 cans of this soup so far, and am now buying it by the case.

(More customer reviews)When I think of Chicken Pot Pie I drool over the chicken and vegetables and pie crust along with the delicious gravy. Now take all that away and add FAT noodles instead. That is what is in this terrible soup.....just fat noodles. It does have a nice flavor but I soon realized that, after not having a migraine in over a year, it was this soup that caused me to have a migraine for two days. The large amount of 'yeast extract', in other words MSG, that is in it caused my migraine. How can an ORGANIC soup have such an artificial chemical neurotoxin in it and still be considered organic? I will donate the remaining cans to the food pantry and hope they like 'noodles' and MSG. I will never purchase this soup nor this brand again but be my guest and give it a try. I think you'll regret it though.

(More customer reviews)Cambells tomato can't compare; especially because there's no can taste! This is a really incredible soup coming from a chef's perspective. The Tomato is a unique one and you can't better the cream from real organic milk. This is unlike most of the other creamed Pacific soups which use Soy. I find it as good on a cold day as hot. For certain a can destroys that kind of delicacy of flavor which is actually the red pepper in the batch held by the carton.
It also heats very well in the Microwave as it's a smooth cream soup: I go with 3:30 min in my Oster 1000 W microwave and the box instructions seem more geared for a 1500 W. Until you see the soup you might think the cartons are like normal Soy milk size but they're actually smaller, one full soup/cereal bowl a carton and personally I like it that way as compared.

(More customer reviews)Yorkies are notoriously finicky eaters. They are also prone to pancreatitis. When they have stomach problems, this product is the only way to get any nutrition into them, short of hospitalization and an IV drip. When they are not having stomach problesm, they torment their owners by refusing to eat much of the time (I know, I know, they won't allow themselves to starve to death, but I'm not going to conduct that experiment to find out if FOR SURE they won't). Add a scant teaspoon or even only three fourths of a scant teaspoon of chicken and rice or chicken and veggies, and PRESTO (sort of) they will eat, at least enough for me to stop catastrophizing. Reasonably priced at this site, and the shipping was prompt.

(More customer reviews)My twin 10-month old baby soldiers are learning to walk. They're not quite there yet but making giant strides. They eat a lot too.
They loved the chicken tomato pastina right away and I'm tempted to add olives but can't find any without salt.
I don't think you can go wrong with this one in terms of whether your babies will eat it.
The ingredients per the label: Water, Organic Carrots, Organic Ground Chicken, Organic Tomato Paste, Organic Whole Grain Couscous (from whole grain durum semolina), Organic Garbanzo Bean Flakes.
The couscous absorbs the water and helps this dinner have one of the best consistencies of all the Earth Best varieties we've tried.
It has 15% protein, 50% vitamin A, 15% vitamin C, 2% calcium and 4% iron; and 70 calories. I've been informed that the percentage of daily needs met is based on an adult.
Postscript: I was happy with the product itself but much of the time it arrived with broken jars. I got reimbursed for the broken jars, but I still had to clean the broken glass and food mess off of the good jars. Please see the comment section. I am not the only one that had this problem.

Earth's Best Organic 2nd Sweet Potato & Chicken Dinner , 4 Ounce Jars (Pack of 12) Review

(More customer reviews)My twin 10-month old babies treat this one as dessert. Their first Earth's Best jar they loved was straight sweet potatoes. After water, sweet potatoes are the first ingredient in this one, followed by apricot puree. That's dessert for them right there. After that comes the chicken and then brown rice flour (not as good as brown rice though).
This is a meal that babies around the age of mine are probably almost all going to love instantly. Almost all babies love sweet potatoes for starters. Add apricot puree and there's really not much one could do to discourage babies after that. I recommend this flavor brand.
Ingredients per label: Water, organic sweet potatoes, organic apricot puree, mechanically separated organic chicken, organic brown rice flour.
The rice flour absorbed the water and gave it a real nice consistency, and the sweet potatoes gave it a nice color.
Nutrition per label: 80 calories, 15% protein, 90% vitamin A, 2% vitamin C, 2% calcium and 6% iron.
This one had the most vitamin A of all Earth's Best jars I've tried. I've been informed that the percentage of daily needs met is based on an adult.
