(More customer reviews)I ordered these as a Lightning Deal. Never tried it but it was like 50% off. I love spicy food and can never find anything I consider "spicy" anymore. Cooked these expecting "spicy" to be "tangy" as usual. WRONG!
I drained 95% of the water out like I do with Ramen Noodles. Put the flavor packet on, and WOW it was SPICY. But I love it - great flavor. I had to cool my mouth down with chocolate milk. This from a guy who always orders the spiciest level at any ethnic eatery I go to.
I'm sure if you don't drain all the water out before eating like I do, it will be fine. I plan on draining about 75% out next time. Finally, a food labeled "spicy" that actually is!

As another reviewer stated these are the only bowl ramen that's veggie so there's no worries about beef bone/fat if thats an issue for you. Also, if you're a spice wimp they still taste good with only half the spice packet.

(More customer reviews)Very good instant noodle. Tasty with some mushroom flavor. But the flavor isn't the same as the Shin Ramyun noodles that come in the bags. This bowl tastes more like the other Nong Shim bowls (kimchee, etc)...something about the bowl noodles from nong shim...they all taste similar.
My fav instant noodle is the bagged Shin Ramyun.

The above item was sold by JVS thru Amazon.com It written in the product description is MADE IN JAPAN. But when I rec'd that pkg of Noodle is written MADE IN HONG KONG. I e-mail to request Instruction of return twice within two weeks. NO Reply! I return it any way in the third week. They should have written Return Policy in place or reply my e-mail within 48 hrs!

(More customer reviews)If your only ramen experience was a dry, tasteless brick dumped into a pot of bowling water that you purchased six for a dollar, then you are in luck. Once you try a Nong Shim noodle bowl you will never go back to Nissin Top Ramen.
Nong Shim delivers a flavorful instant noodle meal, balancing seasoning and spice for a perfect lunch on a cold, winter day. The noodle bowl has a rich, red broth that is visibly loaded with spices. I've recommended Nong Shim to many people but a few, because of the kimchi flavor, have been hesitant to give it a try. I can attest that Nong Shim's noodles are not as pungent as `fresh' kimchi.
I submitted two product photos. Please give them a look. One shows the ChefsBest Award and endorsements Nong Shim received. Nong Shim is the leading brand of ramyoen (ramen instant noodles) in South Korea.
I recommend adding refrigerator scraps to your noodles; perhaps, whole kernel corn (for sweetness) or some tofu, finely chopped green onions (scallions), chopped, cooked beef, chicken or seafood. An egg is another delicious addition, either hard boiled and chopped or over easy.
One final note: a serving is high in sodium, so skip drinking the soup if that is a concern as the noodles themselves contain little sodium. You can reduce your sodium intake by more than 60 percent if you don't drink the soup.
