(More customer reviews)i've been stuck in the hospital a lot this year and it's meant a lot of the clear liquid diet. This broth is what's getting me through. It's tasty all on its own. When i'm at home and I have to drink clear liquids, the other veggie broths don't have such a rich flavor and suddenly I feel deprived and miserable. So, I decided to get crazy and just spend the $50 on a truly delicious broth so I no longer have to suffer through cup after cup of blandness when i'm ill. I also plan to try it as a base for my potato leek soup and I bet it's hands down the best batch I've ever made. And it comes, already perfectly seasoned, in packet. So awesome.
p.s. It is on the salty side but I am generally not a salt lover and this is a good saltiness. I almost never salt anything. So if you hear it's salty...take it with a grain of salt. Yeah, I said it. (I'm in the hospital ordering tons of broth packets and writing lengthy reviews of my love for it, I needed that joke. Aah how I laughed.)
p.p.s. I think it's a little better if you add about 1.3 of the recommended amout per cup of water.

(More customer reviews)I have been searching for a mix for vegetarian gravy with a beef type flavor. This is the best I have found. The mock chicken version by Hain is not to my liking so if you have tried that one don't let it prevent you from enjoying the brown gravy mix. Whole Foods used to carry in bulk mix for chicken broth/gravy that was very good but seems to have discontinued it. The only vegetarian gravy better than this brown gravy mix comes with a tofurkey that is mushroom gravy that is prepared and frozen. This is simple and handy and relatively inexpensive and as tasty as any meat based gravy mix.

I recently ordered a case (for myself and to share with friends) because I could no longer find it locally. The ingredients have changed and now milk is listed as a "natural flavoring." The allergy information has been changed to read: Wheat, Milk. HUGE disappointment!

I actually wanted`turkey' gravy for my turkey' roast but due search exhaustion, decided to give this a try. I am SO glad I did. It is VERY good and so easy to make. Once packet goes a long way.

Norpro Steamer Review

(More customer reviews)We've been using the Norpro 8 inch steamer two or two times a week since we received it several months ago. It works very well. It makes steaming vegetables a much more streamlined affair: we cut up the veggies, toss them in the steamer basket, rinse them, then drop the steamer into the pot of water, cover and cook. The handle makes it so easy to move it in and out of the pot and the bonus is that it is SO much easier to clean than the traditional aluminum steamer basket I've used since I was a kid. We live in an ancient house in New Orleans with no dishwasher, so cleaning the little flaps on the aluminum one took as long as washing an entire load of dishes. This steamer is ridiculously easy to clean.
The only thing we've noticed is that the color has faded very quickly making it look somewhat dingy and it's showing signs of wear where it folds up. I'm okay with the color and the wear as long as it doesn't start tearing at the wear spots. I'll update this review if that happens.
Bottom line: we love it, but we are afraid it may not last like a metal one.
