Pataks Tandoori Spicy Ginger and Garlic Sauce 11 oz Review

(More customer reviews)I used this product to create Tandoori chiken - which I marinated in yoghurt and this paste, and then cooked it on the barbeque for maximum flavour. I have always used Sharwoods Medium Tandoori Paste, however I could not find this product in the USA. I tried Pataks Tandoori paste, and it was nice, but definitely not as good as the Sharwoods Paste or the Sharwoods Tandoori Curry Powder.
Use Pataks if you cant find the Sharwoods equivalent.

Patak's Original Spicy Ginger & Garlic Tandoori Sauce is a great marinade/grill sauce. Mostly used for Tandoori chicken, recipe included on jar. This product is Gluten free. This product may contain traces of nut.

(More customer reviews)I wish that I could give this 5 stars, it really does taste superb. The problem is that is contains two artificial food colourings (E124 & E102). Both of these are synthetic 'coal tar' dyes, are known carcinogens in animals, are banned in a few countries including the United States, and both are being phased out of use in the UK where Rajah is produced. Neither is recommended to be consumed by children and it can cause allergic reactions.

(More customer reviews)Patak's Tandoori Paste is a condiment that I have used and savored for many years. When it disappeared from local grocery store shelves in recent years, I lamented the loss but fortunately still had a couple of jars in my pantry. Then I located it on Amazon but was appalled to find that this perfectly tastebud-tantalizing, formerly all-natural product now is being adulterated by the addition of red food dye (in which case I will not purchase it). In a further search on Amazon, however, I was extremely relieved to learn that the original, all-natural-recipe product remains in existence as well (perhaps by popular protest of the undesirable and unnecessary additive), so I happily awaited its availability. Although I'm drawn to any food product showcasing the flavors of ginger and garlic, I find this particular product especially appealing due to its inclusion of tamarind, that unique-tasting, lusciously tart tropical fruit that lends an irresistible quality to any recipe in which it is used. I consider Patak's Tandoori Paste (previously labeled Ginger-Garlic Marinade) equally delightful as a marinade when mixed with a bit of plain yoghurt or as a rub straight from the jar (or even as a zingy sandwich spread when sparingly applied to brighten the flavor of chicken or turkey -- or whatever you choose)!

Arora Creations Tandoori Chicken Spice Blend, 0.9-Ounce Units (Pack of 12) Review

(More customer reviews)Authentic and flavorful. Just mix with yogurt, EVOO, and a little vinegar. Let chicken marinate in this mixture at least an hour and then pop chicken on grill or in a 500 degree oven until done. That's it. Final product is not bright red like many tandooris, but there is no artificial red color in it like in many other tandoori preparations.
