(More customer reviews)We first encountered this product at a take out place on Maui. Then we asked our Thai hostess in Tucson about the sauce and she gave us the Mae Ploy recommendation saying that they use it in their kitchen. It is addictive on Salmon, pasta, vegetables and more.

This distinctive, slightly sweet chili sauce is ideal over chicken as well as seafood, vegetable dishes and as a dipping sauce for spring rolls & dim sum. It's a fairly thick sauce, and if you've ever purchased barbeque chicken from a vendor in Thailand, it was undoubtedly served with this sauce. (More customer reviews)I use to use the regular Lipton Onion soup mix for chip dip until I came across this a few years back. This is far and away the best for dip. The other was too salty and too strong. However, the Golden Onion is far less salty and more subtle. Lipton suggests using one packet for each pound of sour cream. However, I buy a 3 lb of Daisy sour cream at Walmart and mix two packets (2.6 oz's) into the container and it makes the best dip. I have literally caught guests dipping their fingers in it. I hope they never quite offering it. I like it best with big thick pretzels. It's also delicous with vegies too. My husband and I are active in the motorcycling community and and we like to entertain. People literally look forward to our gatherings because they know we'll have the dip. My husband tells our friends it's his "secret recipe".

(More customer reviews)I've been having trouble finding this in my local grocery stores, so I ordered a case. This stuff is great - toss with veggies or potatoes and a little olive oil and roast. Delicious! Sprinkle over fish with some breadcrumbs and dot with butter or olive oil and bake. I have no idea if you can actually make soup with it, and don't care. I use it just to season foods and it's excellent.
