(More customer reviews)I remember enjoying the ribs served at several Tony Roma's restaurants when it was a popular chain during the late 80s'. I've had success with bbq sauces for hamburger, chicken and fish but haven't found a really good bottled sauce for ribs yet. I've never seen this brand at the local markets so I thought why not. Big mistake! The consistency of this sauce is way too watery, the flavor is way too sweet (and I love sweet but this was bland sweet)and below basic. I wish I could get my money back for the pair of pork baby back ribs this sauce ruined. I tried low and slow bbq, basting the ribs every 15 minutes and I tried grilling the other rack with this sauce. I served to a few friends and they all agreed that the sauce made the ribs uneatable. I'll probably dump the 5 remaining bottles left over down the sink...I'd hate for anyone else to experience the same disappointment my friends and I did. I cooked the same brand ribs with Jack Daniels, Bull Eye, Rays and they were all very good, not amazing but tasty and enjoyable. Hopefully I'll find the right sauce next time.

Korean BBQ Sauce Hot and Spicy (Chick/Pork/Seafoods Marinade) Review

(More customer reviews)I love this marinade. The first time I used it, I bought very thinly pre-sliced pork. Because I didn't think my kids would like the spiciness, I marinated half the pork in sesame oil and soy sauce and the other half for my husband and me in the Korean BBQ sauce. I marinated it just 30 minutes. I heated the grill to medium heat and used tin foil to cover it. I dumped the meat and sauce onto the foil, and spread it into a single layer. It cooked really fast because the meat was so thin, just a few minutes on each side. Be careful not to cook it on too high a heat because there is a lot of sugar in the sauce and it can burn easily. Anyway, we served this with lettuce leaves and steamed white rice so we could make lettuce wraps. We had grilled garlic and Sam Chang (fermented bean paste which is way more delicious than it sounds) and shredded carrots. The kids loved to make their own wraps at the table. The only problem is that after trying our marinated meat, they devoured it, sauce and all and left us with the sesame-soy meat. Last night, I just did a double batch of the pork and we didn't have a scrap left! This is a terrific sauce that is easy to use and makes a healthy, delicious and fast meal!

(More customer reviews)I used to go to Tony Roma's restaurant for all special occasions. I especially loved the barbecue sauce and ribs. I just purchased this product from Amazon and tasted it. It is nothing like the real thing. It does not have a dark rich and thick sauce, it is not spicy and is so bad I will not even be able to fix it by adding more ingredients. It is like runny glue. You cannot return it because it is a grocery item so I advise you to NOT buy any of the Tony Roma barbecue products. My wife decided that she wanted to make barbeque chicken last night, but realized we were out of barbeque sauce, then she remembered that we had this sauce. The chicken turned out wonderful. This sauce has a slightly sweet flavor with a hint of spice. This is a must try for the Maker's Mark lovers out there. Well, I have to run, I'm off to buy a case of this sauce on the Web!

(More customer reviews)I'd recently asked some online friends in a food forum what they thought the best bottled barbecue sauce is. Four out of five of them mentioned
"Bone Suckin". I was NOT disappointed! It is not a thick gloppy sauce clogged up with corn syrup as most of the supermarket brands (Hunts, Kraft, etc) are. The flavor is complex. It is not too sweet, not vinegary, and with just a modicum of spice heat to keep it interesting, and so it tastes like barbecue. I've even used it in kitchen cooking (as opposed to grilling) and people commented on the great taste.
I bought it from Amazon, but Whole Foods also carries it.

However, this runny red mildly-hot vinegar-based concoction by Scott's makes about the best marinade for ribs you'll find anywhere, that is if you don't have a bottle of Chiavetta's laying around somewhere. Just soak your ribs in this juicey juice for about 3-4 hours before you throw them on the grill, baste with your favorite brand of bar-b-que sauce and voo-ah-lah! Makes a great marinade for chicken too. 5 bones

I wasn't expecting it to taste very much like Dr. Pepper and figured it'd just be a pretty standard barbecue. Not only does it have the distinct Dr. Pepper flavoring, it works very well on everything I've tried it with - chicken, burgers, and in baked beans. Even some people that aren't Dr. Pepper soda fans liked it. If you're a fan of barbecue sauce and a fan of Dr. Pepper you're almost guaranteed to like it!
