I started looking for an all life stage food when I got a kitten to befriend my year old cat. Feeding two cats seperately (kitten and cat food) is just not going to work for me. I also had to ween my cat off Science Diet (aka crack cat food). Feed the best you can afford, and the best they will eat...easier said than done.
We tried Wellness, Solid Gold, Avoderm, etc. Some they hated totally, and some didn't seem so healthy. I learned alot about cat food. Just read the ingredients! Cats are carnivores, and corn should not be in the top five ingredients...or at all.
We have tried several flavors, and
They hate Duck (looks gross too!)
They will nibble Rabbit and Chicken
Lamb they gobble up : )
(P.S. They will eat the Prarie wet foods, but not very much. Also, I feed Innova's EVO dry food.)

Nature's Variety Freeze Dried Cat and Dog Food, Diet Chicken and Turkey Medallions, 12 Ounce Bag Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this product quite some time ago for my older cat - who initially wouldn't touch it. Not dry, not wet - just turned up his nose. I gave up and put it in a cupboard and forgot about it....till I got a new kitten. My new kitty eats raw chicken as a treat; one night he was howling for some and I didn't have enough to share (I was making it for my own dinner!) and I remember this stuff. Pulled it out of the cupboard, broke it up, added water and he went nuts. Won't even touch his other food at this point - love these things. Could put the whole bag away if I let him....and funnily enough, my older cat, after watching the kitten happily scarf away, has finally decided he likes them too. The increase in his activity level and general wellbeing after just a week of eating these is amazing. I strongly recommend this product - you just have to give your kitty time to get used to it as it is a different smell and taste then they've probably ever eaten.

(More customer reviews)I have a 6 year old chocolate labrador retriever. Chip has been plagued with a dry itchy coat and profuse shedding for the past 5 yrs. My vet thought that he was allergic to grains and suggested I try the Nature's Variety GRAIN FREE dog food. After two months, chip's skin stopped flaking, his shedding reduced exponentailly and his coat was as shiny as when he was a pup. I was a skeptic in the beginning thinking that chip was on the pro plan diet and that was good, right? WRONG! I highly recommend this food. Do the research and find what low grade ingredients are in name brand pet foods on the market today. When all of the dog food poisionings and recalls happened you never seen this brand on the list. I truly am a believer in this product.
