Canine Caviar Lamb Adult Dry Dog Food 30lb Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have a 2 year old boxer pup.
He has had a variety of health problems and overtaxed immune system as a pup. He has always had a low threshold for developing loose stools. The only food I have found that prevents his issues is Canine Caviar. I have tried every other high quality premium food, without the same results. I am now committed to driving across town for this food, as nothing compares (I discovered C.C. from a French Bulldog owner who also had great results calming their issues).
Just wish more stores carried it.

Nutro Natural Choice Chk/Rice Lg Breed Adlt 35lb Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have found that different dogs respond optimally to different mixtures (kinda like people, eh?) or brands. With the Nutro, everyone seems to be happy. The ingredients look reasonable, the price is much better then most of the high end brands (with comparable ingredients, i might add :)), and the eat it all up right away factor is very high! Based upon these observations, I highly recommend that you give this brand a try!
All the best,

(More customer reviews)I had my dog on Nutro Nutro Natural Choice Lamb Meal & Rice Formula Small Bites Dog Food- net wt. 40 lbs.but after trying Kevin Trudeau's diet for myself I figured having a food that stopped her from pooping so much maybe wasn't a good idea for her. It gives her the same benefits as her previous diet, but without ruining her future health. She loves the dry and canned food and often has to protect it from the finicky cat.

(More customer reviews)Pet guardians, please take the time to educate yourselves on what goes into your pet's food. That initiative will give them the gift of a longer, healthier life, eliminate many chronic health issues that pets face, save you money in vet bills in the long run... the list of benefits goes on and on.
I have done extensive research on canine and feline nutrition and I highly recommend, if you are going to feed commercial food, Welless, California Naturals or Innova. For a great complete meal, I give my dogs all one of those dry foods mixed with a little bit of canned from the same brands, water for hydration, a touch of a good quality essential oil (such as olive, flax, etc.), a touch of powdered kelp and alfalfa, a splash of organic apple cider vinegar, Prozyme digestive enzymes to unlock the nutrients in all that good food and top with a dollop of plain yogurt. It sounds like a lot, but it takes me less than 5 minutes to assemble the meals for 6 dogs - and they are ridiculously healthy an full of energy, even our 3 seniors who are 11, 12 and 13. I have two seniors with heart murmurs and at our most recent vet check, my dog with the worst heart murmur, a 12 year old beagle that I love desperately, had a 2-grade improvement in condition severity - that is HUGE. Good nutrition makes all the difference and, as an added bonus, I have yet to meet a dog that doesn't like it! In addition, some of Innova's canned foods are low carb by design which is terrific if you have a pooch that needs to lose a few pounds. Most dogs tend to be very carb sensitive - they simply don't need them as much as we do - and I have found that if mine get a little pudgy, I switch to giving them mostly or all low carb Innova and they drop the excess pretty quickly and without suffering through a diet.

(More customer reviews)I had been searching an searching for a moderately priced high quality food. My 2 boxers were on Wellness Core, another excellent food, but its just a bit too pricey. I found this food a couple months ago, its about 12-15 bucks cheaper than Wellness Core and just as good. No grains in either food, no by-products. all natural healthy ingredients. I am feeding my 2 boxers a mix of Before Grain #3(buffalo) and #1(chicken). My dogs love both. They are healthy and happy. Even my soon to be 11yr old girl. California Natural Lamb Meal & Rice Large Bites Dry Adult Dog Food Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)So far, this is one of only 3 dog food brands that I've found that my Border collie and adopted Australian Shepherd do well on. They used to itch and shed a lot until I switched to this food. Our australian shepherd had pink around his mouth and on his belly before switching. It has limited ingredients, less chance of food alergies. I have tried many high cost and probably high quality foods but nothing worked. I ended up having the best luck with this and with Purina one smartblend of all foods. I know, I know, that's not what you read when you research the internet but my dogs do best on Purina or this California brand.

Wellness Super5Mix Dry Dog Food, Healthy Weight Recipe, 13-Pound Bag Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I discovered this brand in July 2007. My two terriers were always prone to digestive problems - gas, vomiting, diahrhea. They both had asthma, allergies and chronic ear infections. My vet told me that is just how the breed is and I spent thousands of dollars on vet treatments. I felt so sad for my dogs, I began exploring health options on my own. After much research, I found that nutrition can cause and cure many health ailments, including all those my dogs had.
I researched a variety of brands, and began buying Wellness Lite - within a few weeks, my dogs were both healthier than ever. It has now been 10 months and we've had no more health problems whatsoever - my only regret is that I did not find this brand sooner!

Shiny coat, good muscle... and best of all... no more ear infections! He seems to love the taste. I would highly recommend this food to people whose dogs have allergies to grains, peas, chicken, beef, ...etc. Actually, I think it's a great food for dogs without allergies, too. EVO Grain Free Turkey and Chicken Formula Dry Dog Food Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)In Nov/Dec of '09, Innova decided to change the ingredients in this particular line of food. No need to let your paying customers know. $400 worth of vet bills later, and a bout with pancreatitis (my dog of course), I realize it's this food that is causing the problems. They later confirmed in email that they did in fact change the ingredients; however, they did not confirm whether they would pay my vet bills.
Not to mention, they also changed their guidelines recommending this food NOT be fed to large breed puppies, whereas it was previously fine.
They tout themselves as some Natural, good for your dog, food, doubtful.

EVO Red Meat Small Bite Dry Dog Food Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)First I will say I love most Innova Evo products and feed my three Miniature Schnauzers the chicken formula which was the original recipe.
Before I had found Evo, my Miniature Schnauzers were fed a RAW diet (aka BARF)which was great but unfortunately one of the girls started getting sick on raw chicken because of the fat content.
Innova Evo's red meat recipe came out much later than the Innova Evo's chicken formula and I decided to try it to give them a change of taste. Unfortunately two of my dogs couldn't take the change even though I did it on a very gradual reduction of Innova Evo's chicken formula to Innova Evo's red meat formula.
Any little amount of the Innova Evo's red meat formula (10% Innova Evo's Red Meat to 90% Innova Evo's Chicken) gave two of my Schnauzers bad diarrhea after eating it and after a week of trying to convert them all gradually I decided that it wasn't worth it and took it to back to the store where I purchased it from and they allowed me to trade it for the chicken formula. I placed all of my Schnauzers back on Innova Evo's chicken formula and they were fine.
I don't know why Innova Evo's Red Meat formula caused two of my Miniature Schnauzers diarrhea (each time I fed them this) but I don't think it's the red meat, I think it's what ever else is mixed in with the red meat which may have caused it or perhaps I just had a bad batch.
The reason I believe this is because I have given all three Schnauzers meaty beef neck bones before in the past and they were fine.
Whatever it is I'm not going to try Innova's EVO Red Meat formula again and take my chance.

(More customer reviews)Hi, we own two pups. The previous owner gave us a bag of Purina food when we bought them. They were so itchy that I though they had fleas. I bought fleas medicine, but it didn't help. I went to petsmart, and they recommended me to buy this brand. Nutro Natural Choice Wheat free helped them. It eliminated their itch about 85 to 90% with the first bag. I never going to change the brand. The price is a bit expensive comparing with other brands, so I recommend to buy in ebay coupons for this food. I buy get $3.00 off for any bag. (More customer reviews)I have tried every kibble known to man on my dogs over the years, and this one is the best. I feed a primarily raw diet, but supplement with kibble. Previously Wellness Core had given me fairly good results with allergies etc, but the stools were 'greasy'. I also had them on Orijin, but had horrible sloppy stools on that. I had been searching for a grain free food that had some carbohydrates in it to reduce the protein and fat content, but has no grains. This food ticks all the boxes and then some! Great stools, shiny coats, no more 'eye goop', less hair loss, no more 'itchies'! They have been on it about a month and a half, and the difference in the three girls is absolutely amazing. Love it!
