(More customer reviews)Friends gave us a jar of this as part of a "Taste of the Northwest" gift basket while we were visiting Seattle last year. We eventually tried it, and fell in love with the taste, texture and ease of preparation. You coat the salmon in a bit of the rub, and saute it in a little olive oil. The resulting crust adds a mildly spicy, sweet flavor and a very slight crust to the salmon that my wife and I like better than any other way we've tried salmon. Highly recommended, and we'll be ordering more as we're almost out.

The fillets may be broken up into smaller pieces, making them ideal for training and positive reinforcement.
They're highly portable and you can throw them in your pocket without getting grease all over the place as happens with some other treats.
I feel great feeding these to my dog since salmon is very nutritious. Also, wild-caught doesn't have antibiotics and other chemicals that are given to farm-raised fish, plus it's less damaging to the environment.
These treats are a bit pricey but worth every penny, especially since you can break up the treats into *many* yummy tidbit-sized pieces.
Both you and your dog will love these treats! Enjoy!!

(More customer reviews)I have been feeding this food for several months to my 9-year old "allergy" Lab. He is doing wonderfully on it. Shiny coat, good muscle... and best of all... no more ear infections! He seems to love the taste. I would highly recommend this food to people whose dogs have allergies to grains, peas, chicken, beef, ...etc. Actually, I think it's a great food for dogs without allergies, too. My non-allergic bullmastiff is doing very well on it.

Bones and skin are pretty normal in canned salmon and mix right into a salad. A source of calcium, actually. And Omega 3 oil is highly recommended.
Add some herbs and lemon juice (and maybe even a little salt), some fine chopped sweet onions, some fresh garlic ... have a feast!
I don't buy many canned or other prepared foods because of the high salt and other additives, so this is great to find! I notice this company also carries no salt added tuna - also a great price.

(More customer reviews)I switched to this food when my cocker spaniel was having stomach problems and vomiting often. I found that the Nutro Ultra had gluten in it and other foods we had tried had a lot of grain. She is thriving on this food and has no problems anymore. She is a high energy 3 year old and her coat is beautiful since we switched. I do not give this food to our 10 year old cocker. I think that the protein level and calories are too much for an older dog, although your vet would be better able to help you make that choice.

I used to buy one of the major vet brands, but found that the carbs were extremely high. I have a cat that is diabetic. After doing research on what is best for indoor and/or diabetic kitties, I have found this food to be exactly what I was looking for. Not to forget the best of all....all three of my kitties absolutely love this food! There was no problem making the food switch. Thank you for such a wonderful product!

(More customer reviews)I eat these salmon cups (or the tuna cups) almost daily.
If you're looking for a nutritious snack, these cups really can't be beat. If you're a bodybuilder or athlete trying to increase your daily protein intake, these are awesome. If you're a parent trying to get your kid to eat healthy, getting them to like fish is a great idea. If you're trying to eat 5-7 meals a day to lose weight, make one of these cups one of your meals, the protein fills you up and makes you feel good. It also requires a bit of chewing to complete the eating experience.
Why eat a nutritionally empty "100 calorie pack" of goldfish crackers or potato chips when you could have something like this that has only 80 calories and infinitely more nutritional benefit??
I'll eat these alone, straight from the cup, basically anywhere since you don't need to refridgerate and you don't need a can opener. I'll dump them onto salad, or mix with rice, quinoa, or beans.

You really can't beat this for something so portable that requires no preparation or refridgeration. There's a little bit of broth in the cup, and if you squeeze this out or just leave it at the bottom of the cup, you probably cut the sodium down to 10mg.
I highly recommend these salmon cups. But, avoid the salad, or the flavored varieties if you are looking to get the maximum nutritional benefit. Those salads and flavorings just add salt, sugar, carbs.
