We tried so many different brands including home-cooked, he would only ate a couple times and wouldn't touch it anymore. He lost so much weight and got us so worried. But that all changed when we found Organix and that's the only brand Autumn will eat. Now he can't wait until I feed him every morning. Sushi, our Bichon Frise / Poodle mix pooch was running out of this particular dog food so I went online and bought her a large bag. You can see on her face that she would be saying, "mmmmmmmmm" while she is eating, and that happy look was worth 5 stars. She really loves this particular food more than any other that we have had for her. If you have a dog that isn't fond of the food you are providing, I suggest that you get the smallest bag available at Amazon (it won't be too small since it has to accommodate a long product name) and have him/her try it. The product was delivered promptly, right to our door, and was reasonably priced.
The supplier is happy about selling it to us (assumption), I'm happy that I didn't have to go on a search mission because the product is hard to find in stores (first hand), and Sushi is happy because she is always happy. That's a win, win, win. She leaves her supply chain operation in my hands to satisfy her needs. No, I have never tasted it (in case that comes up). Signed, sealed, delivered, on time, as promised, no surprises.

(More customer reviews)I have yet to find a superior dry cat food. I prefer to feed my cat a raw diet, but sometimes it isn't possible. An apartment doesn't have a place for an extra freezer so unfortunately a raw diet isn't feasible. This food is the closest to a raw diet you can get in a dry kibble. NO GRAIN and all meat proteins, exactly how cats want it. And like other reviewers commented, cats LOVE it. My cat always runs hopefully to his CORE storage bin when I start to open it and cries and begs until it is on his dish. My cat's coat is glossy, thick, healthy and barely sheds. His eyes are clear and bright. He has tons of energy and every year his vet is impressed with how healthy he is. No digestive problems, and no kidney problems that are so common in cats fed grain cat food.
I strongly recommend this cat food!

I have to feed him more than I did. He doesn't seem to get satisfied as quickly. His sister who has no stomach problems needs larger portions too. they both have no complaints about the taste. This stuff is expensive. It is worth it to not have him throw up all the time.

(More customer reviews)I've tried a few high quality cat food products and this one is right up there with Innova/EVO brand, but even cheaper in price.
One of my cats has had urinary tract issues in the past. The Vet stated possible Struvite crystal problems which some lower quality foods, especially ones that use soy products, etc as protein fillers instead of animal protein(many variables in the low quality causes an offset of PH balance in their urine; Cat urine is generally more on the acidic side than alkaline) plus not enough water intake can cause urinary issues.
Besides some few and far between accidents in the past 6 months, this product has delivered. It seems to agree with my cat's needs and has stopped her UTI's.
My one complaint is how it tends to give my cats(I have two cats) almost diarrhea consistency excrement. It's not quite there, but definitely looser and sticky. Once in awhile it gets stuck in the hair, therefore making them drag their bums on the ground. It's not for lack of water consumption, as we do give them wet food also. They also have a great water thirst reflex(one even has a running water fetish!). However, we've had to cut back on that as with the combination of the wet food and this food, the stools get even more loose.
My educated guess is the high nutrients with their consumption doesn't get fully absorbed, or maybe the high fat content. I can't say for certain, but it does it to both of my cats.
In conclusion, with how healthy my cats are currently, I'm willing to put up with this minor irritation. I just stay nearby with a wet cloth and some spot shot in hand, *laughs*.

(More customer reviews)Approximately 20 years ago, I began to exclusively feed our cats Iams or Science Diet. Those brands were recommended by our Veterinarian after our first cat showed signs of Feline Urinary Syndrome (FUS). I had previously fed the cats the typical brands such as 9 Lives, Purina and Friskies.
I continued with IAMS and Science Diet, because the other brands caused FUS, caused other digestive problems and the good reputation of IAMS and Science Diet.
Then last year, one of our cats developed bladder disease and died.
Not long afterward, the pet food scandal broke. Cat and dog food from nearly every pet food company, including premium foods like IAMS and Science, were tainted by melamine. More than 150 brands of cat and dog food were recalled. IAMS and Science Diet were two of the recalled brands, as was natural sounding brands such as Nutro.
I vowed to never again purchase pet food from the brands that had betrayed my trust. I began searching for pet food that was all natural and organic. Newman's Own is both natural and organic. It was also one of the few brands not recalled. Although it was difficult to find a local source, I finally found a few, including Amazon.
My cats love Newman's Own canned and dry food. They also love Innova EVO. I love it because I don't have to worry about tainted food poisoning my cats.
Pros:
1. Peace of mind
2. Does not cause FUS, as did Purina and other similar brands
3. Much less likely to be tainted by lethal contaminants
4. The cats love it
5. Does not cause the other digestive problems.
Cons:
1. It is more expensive than the non-premium brands
2. It can be difficult to find a nearby store that sells Newman's Own.
Overall, the pros outweigh the cons. And I can now add Amazon to my list of sources for the food.

He was eating Wellness brand pouches for a while, but I felt like he was getting tired of the same 4 (grain free) flavors. I decided to try this, although I was hesitant about the pumpkin soup aspect. My boy loves it! The "soup" is just gravy, and there is a good amount of it which pleases me since I'm concerned about hydration. The chicken actually looks and smells like shredded chicken that I would eat myself! My kitty gobbled it all up at once. I've since tried all the other flavors with similar results. (with the exception of the Polynesian dinner flavor, which my boy didn't like.) No fillers, good quality meat/seafood, lots of variety. I'm pleased!

Not thinking anything about it, by the start of the second day, it was a HUGE problem. Litter box was FULL, bowl was ALWAYS empty, crap was all over the place, caked in his paws, the runs hanging off his fur, and of course, the unbelievable stench. My cat has NEVER exhibited any of this before this stuff. So bad, I disowned the poor guy! I mean, like I want to feed him double just to have it end up on my carpet and bed after he's processed it??? No Thanks, going back to 100% EVO.... It's the best, cost more, but eats way less, so that's MORE then worth it, without even adding in the side effects or the additional cost of litter, not to mention my time following him around and cleaning it up!

(More customer reviews)I have been feeding my cat Sporkie this food since he was a kitten. He is now 16 and has NEVER been sick! I have added the senior variety to his diet (from Precise) but mix it with this one as well. I did however try to change his food twice in the last 16 years and both times it did not go well. Once about 10 years ago I tried switching him to Max Cat and he became very angry and aggressive, switched him back and he was fine. I tried about a year ago to add the "all natural herbal" variety from Precise and he got sick, got a UTI, that however, was the first time in his life he had been on an antibiotic! I swear by Precise!! It is a pain to have to have it shipped, as I cannot buy it locally any longer, but so worth it for Sporkie.

(More customer reviews)My cats love this stuff. I give two of them one can a day and the rest of their diet is dry food (also Organix). They are only 1.5 years old, so the effects of keeping the cats healthy may not be obvious, but they are both calm-tempered, gentle and friendly overall. No major shedding, stool is generally in good shape, and they are enegetic.
PS I know the stuff is expensive, but I have had cats and dogs both in the past. Often, when they get into their senior years, they begin to their physical constraints. I have seen organic food do wonders for cats who are older and therefore I decided to use organic food for my cats from their kittenhood. I guess I won't find out until later on how it impact their longevity, but so far, I see nothing but very healthy cats able to buck whatever illnesses come their way.
