Wellness CORE Grain-Free, Fish and Fowl Adult Cat and Kitten Food, 12-Pound Bag Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have yet to find a superior dry cat food. I prefer to feed my cat a raw diet, but sometimes it isn't possible. An apartment doesn't have a place for an extra freezer so unfortunately a raw diet isn't feasible. This food is the closest to a raw diet you can get in a dry kibble. NO GRAIN and all meat proteins, exactly how cats want it. And like other reviewers commented, cats LOVE it. My cat always runs hopefully to his CORE storage bin when I start to open it and cries and begs until it is on his dish. My cat's coat is glossy, thick, healthy and barely sheds. His eyes are clear and bright. He has tons of energy and every year his vet is impressed with how healthy he is. No digestive problems, and no kidney problems that are so common in cats fed grain cat food.
I strongly recommend this cat food!

Evolve Maintenance Formula with Chicken Dry Cat Food Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I've tried a few high quality cat food products and this one is right up there with Innova/EVO brand, but even cheaper in price.
One of my cats has had urinary tract issues in the past. The Vet stated possible Struvite crystal problems which some lower quality foods, especially ones that use soy products, etc as protein fillers instead of animal protein(many variables in the low quality causes an offset of PH balance in their urine; Cat urine is generally more on the acidic side than alkaline) plus not enough water intake can cause urinary issues.
Besides some few and far between accidents in the past 6 months, this product has delivered. It seems to agree with my cat's needs and has stopped her UTI's.
My one complaint is how it tends to give my cats(I have two cats) almost diarrhea consistency excrement. It's not quite there, but definitely looser and sticky. Once in awhile it gets stuck in the hair, therefore making them drag their bums on the ground. It's not for lack of water consumption, as we do give them wet food also. They also have a great water thirst reflex(one even has a running water fetish!). However, we've had to cut back on that as with the combination of the wet food and this food, the stools get even more loose.
My educated guess is the high nutrients with their consumption doesn't get fully absorbed, or maybe the high fat content. I can't say for certain, but it does it to both of my cats.
In conclusion, with how healthy my cats are currently, I'm willing to put up with this minor irritation. I just stay nearby with a wet cloth and some spot shot in hand, *laughs*.

Go Natural Chicken, Fruit & Vegetable Cat Food Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I had my male cat on this food awhile back and he not only liked it, he seemed to do very well on it. I have tried everything from Acana, Wellness, Wellness Core, Innova, and a bunch of other cat foods and my cats did not do well on them. In researching cat foods, I discovered wet food is ideal and that carbs are bad, as they can cause diabetes, UTI, etc. My male cat has had 2 UTI's on other high carb foods. So now I've been trying grain free foods and making one of their meals canned food each day. But it is too costly to feed 3 cats only canned every day, so I want to split half dry half wet. I am torn between buying this food, which my cat did well on, or trying the grain free, which I don't know how they will do on. I was tempted to try EVO, but now I think it may actually be too high in protein. So I'm going to buy either this one or the grain free Go Natural cat food today. I'll probably try the grain free.

Premium Edge Dry Cat Food for Kitten, Chicken, Salmon and Vegetables, 18 Pound Bag Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Oh my, mixed it half and half with EVO dry food as I know foods should be gradually introduced. Not thinking anything about it, by the start of the second day, it was a HUGE problem. Litter box was FULL, bowl was ALWAYS empty, crap was all over the place, caked in his paws, the runs hanging off his fur, and of course, the unbelievable stench. My cat has NEVER exhibited any of this before this stuff. So bad, I disowned the poor guy! I mean, like I want to feed him double just to have it end up on my carpet and bed after he's processed it??? No Thanks, going back to 100% EVO.... It's the best, cost more, but eats way less, so that's MORE then worth it, without even adding in the side effects or the additional cost of litter, not to mention my time following him around and cleaning it up!

EVO Turkey and Chicken Formula Dry Cat Food Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This dry food is just that. It's a dry kibble. Considering the need for us pet parents to be conscientious about the food we feed our fur kids, this is a high quality food that is packed with protein and has no junk chemicals, fillers and what not. I take my cat to an all cat clinic. The vets highly recommend Innova Evo. My cat has no elimination problem. She has been eating Innova Evo for the last 4 years.

Precise Feline Foundation Chicken Natural Formula for Adult Cats Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have been feeding my cat Sporkie this food since he was a kitten. He is now 16 and has NEVER been sick! I have added the senior variety to his diet (from Precise) but mix it with this one as well. I did however try to change his food twice in the last 16 years and both times it did not go well. Once about 10 years ago I tried switching him to Max Cat and he became very angry and aggressive, switched him back and he was fine. I tried about a year ago to add the "all natural herbal" variety from Precise and he got sick, got a UTI, that however, was the first time in his life he had been on an antibiotic! I swear by Precise!! It is a pain to have to have it shipped, as I cannot buy it locally any longer, but so worth it for Sporkie.

Premium Edge Dry Cat Food for Kitten, Chicken, Salmon and Vegetables, 6 Pound Bag Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My 6 month old male Tuxedo cat likes Premium Edge Dry Cat Food for Kitten, Chicken, Salmon and Vegetables, which is "Y" shaped kibble, similar to Californian Natural Chicken and Rice Dry Cat and Kitten Food - 5 lb - Bag. Premium Edge has a higher fat content than California Natural, and is therefore recommended only for kittens. Based on the stated ingredients and nutritional information, I award Premium Edge Dry Cat Food for Kitten, Chicken, Salmon and Vegetables, "5 Stars," even though the bag does not feature a resealable strip, which is a nice feature that some other kibble cat food bags have.

Felidae Cat and Kitten Formula Chicken, Turkey, Lamb, and Fish Meals Dry Cat Food Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We originally got this for our Bengals, it was what the breeder recommended. Then, we found two kittens only a day old on the street and adopted them.
After they were weaned they took to this stuff like gangbusters. Now, they are both 20 plus pound monster kitties. Never sick a day in their lives, glossy coats, full of energy.
Picky cats love Felidae, it is full of healthy ingredients. Obviously, however, it's not the best food for cat weight control! Now the boys are on a "light" cat food, and they aren't quite as happy.
So, I suggest this for Bengals or cats who need to put on a few pounds.

EVO Turkey and Chicken Formula Dry Cat Food Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have had my three cats on Innova dry food almost from day one, the only exception being our 12-year old tabby who started his life on premium brands such as Nutro, Iams, Science Diet, and Eukanuba. Even before the great pet food scare of 2007, I learned that those brands, sad to say, do have by-products and fillers, and thrive primarily on their marketing and distribution momentum, and the recommendations of vets who are unfamiliar with many of the newer all-natural brands. Since discovering Innova in 2002, I've been a vocal advocate of this brand among all our friends with pet families, as the company's focus on healthful nutrition without deleterious additives and preservatives is key to their philosophy. Last winter, I tried samples of Innova EVO on both the kitties and our miniature schnauzer (whom we have since switched to Timberwolf Organics, another superb brand, just because of lower fat content), and found them even more excited about mealtime when they saw me approaching their food bowls. With regular Innova, they've all had robust growth, excellent muscle tone, supple skin, clear eyes and shiny full coats. After a few months on EVO, they're even more energetic and look better than I thought possible. The product is sold at natural pet product stores - listed on Natura's website (not the big chains) - at a better price and without the shipping costs associated with Amazon's partner. How do you put a price on your family's wellbeing? This is well worth the investment, and your kitties will be satisfied with less, as they're consuming no empty calories. Besides the health benefits to them, there's the added benefit to you of easier litterbox maintenance, with smaller, more compact stools. (On that score, we've found The World's Best Cat Litter to be the best alternative to clay litter.)
