(More customer reviews)I read on several websites for owners of diabetic cats, that this food was well-tolerated by diabetic felines, and could help normalize blood sugar. My 15 year old Cornish Rex has been on it for three weeks and her insulin has been reduced by almost half. The vet is extremely pleased and has OK'ed me switching from the Royal Canin diabetic chow to this great cat food.
Her energy is way up (she's a Rex, so that's really saying something), her curly-furred coat is thicker and more lustrous, and her eyes have cleared up (leaving me wondering whether she had developed a sensitivity to the grains used in the dry Royal Canin chow).
Usuri recommends this food highly! Especially at o'dark-thirty in the morning when she begins pestering me to give her some.

(More customer reviews)I feed the Natural Balance Green Pea & Duck wet and dry food to my cat ever since my friends and vet suggested I do an elimination diet. Granted, my cat will eat anything in a can, I'm glad that Natural Balance has made this limited ingredient food so my cat doesn't have to suffer from his allergies to chicken. It is difficult to find cat food without chicken since it is in everything and the novel protein in Natural Balance's Limited Ingredient Diet is awesome!
The dry Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diet however, does have an ingredient that the canned wet food doesn't have: fish oil. So if you're doing a super stringent elimination diet, just compare labels for both the dry and wet because the ingredients do differ (my cat does fine with both).
It has been several weeks now that my cat has been on the wet and dry NB food and his ear/face itching has almost completely disappeared! Just remember, talk to your vet about elimination diets if you think your cat may have allergies.

As for "Smart Dog Snacks" with Ginkgo Biloba and DHA...I'd better watch out, because my dogs love these treats so much that the treats just may make them smart enough to figure out how to open the "treat cabinet" take the container down and unscrew the lid to help themselves!
While the treats themselves look like beef jerky, they are made with all natural, organic ingredients. The dogs don't care what's in these treats, they just know they love them. As I am typing this they are both sitting at attention, staring at me and whimpering while trying to do the Jedi Mind Trick of "you want to give us more Smart Dog Snacks, pick up your hand from that keyboard and reach in the container and hand us more. Do it. Do it now."
There's so much junk out there and plenty of junk food that claims to be natural (just like people food) but this stuff is the real deal. Much like the food that I feed to the humans in the family, I know what each of the ingredients are and love that the first two ingredients are duck and brown rice. There aren't cost cutting fillers in these treats; it's a straight up high quality product. As an aside, I've bought from the seller, The Whole Healthy Pet many times, and I am always impressed with the products they carry. Just as I know that I can trust the Plato brand, I know that if a product is being carried by The Whole Healthy Pet, then it is a high quality product and I feel like a good parent getting it for my dogs.

Sometimes if they don't respond to my call I simply grab the bag and they know the sound of the crinkling plastic so they stop what ever they are doing and run to me for some duck treats. (More customer reviews)I have made every effort to NOT buy/feed anything made in China to my pet. I researched these duck/sweet potato treats before finally deciding to buy them. Nowhere on the amazon product page does it tell you where these treats are made, so I searched for the Smokehouse website which claimed that ONLY some of their CHICKEN treats contained chicken from China, but all other products are made in the USA. So, I felt safe in purchasing these duck/sweet potato treats. After opening a bag, and giving them to my dog did I glance at the product origin. Needless to say my dog likes them very much, but I was NOT happy to find PRODUCT OF CHINA on the bag.
Boo hiss to amazon for not putting the product origin on the product page, and to Smokehouse for misleading consumers on their product information website. Why do they do this, because there are customers just like me that care where the product originates. Many of you may not be concerned about this, but I am, and I think it's very misleading not to provide accurate, and complete information about the product when purchasing from an internet store. At least the product doesn't smell like plastic like the Dingo products.
I won't be purchasing these again. My dog seemed to like them, but she won't be getting anymore of them. I took a star off due to the lack of complete information from amazon, and misleading information from Smokehouse.
UPDATE: Big thumbs up to amazon for great customer service. When I called to return this item they were very helpful in processing a refund, and because it is considered a grocery item I didn't even have to return the items. I had also purchased the Smokehouse duck chips, but they too are made in China. I suggested the addition of the country of origin to both product pages. Just another reason why I don't hesitate to purchase from amazon. They truly have great customer service....rare these days.

These 3 bags go a long way when supplemented with other treats. Due to my pom's health, I can give these USDA treats without worrying about issues from imported brands. (More customer reviews)Actual dried duck filets (minimum crude protein 68%, min. fat 2%, moisture 18%). don't know how they do it at this price, but of course it is a product of China. It states on the 2 lb bag that 9 lbs of duck meat were used which would be typical for any jerky. Because it is solid meat (obvious to the eye and how it breaks apart) there should be No issue with melamine. Each piece is around 5-6 inches long, 1/2 to 3/4 " wide, and about an 1/8" thick with natural variance in size expected with dried solid meat and little to no smell. The bag is resealable. The treats have a typical dried beef jerky texture so they are consumed fairly quickly, at least by our dogs (60 lbs and 75 lbs) But most important, our dogs absolutely love them. Your dogs will thank you. My folks in a different state have been able to get these at CostCo at a very good price

(More customer reviews)I have an english bulldog. Training my bully outside to not approach every dog without first being calm was often a challenge. I had tried to utilize numerous treats before with limited sucess at getting her to focus on my command. Plato's thinkers are not only made of great quality ingredients, but the smell and taste is something that most dogs find hard to resist. If you are looking for a great training treat I recommend these highly. Just break them up into small pieces either with a knife or by hand.
These treats have not only worked with her, but with her fellow friends. I constantly refer folks to get this type of treat, when they are looking for a good training treat. And all my friends who have purchased this for their dogs are happy with their purchase.
The larger 24 oz jar is the best because they last longer and the lid prevents them from air exposure which otherwise makese these treats hard.
