Owners beware: you will have to wash your hands after giving them as they are STINKY (the fish and venison flavor especially), and your dogs' breath won't be too pleasant for a while afterward. But for coaxing a dog to do something, these cannot be beaten.

(More customer reviews)If you have a "gulper" please be VERY careful with this product!!! Please supervise your pets with this treat, as the pieces are VERY small and I can see may present a choking hazard or cause internal blockage for some dogs. I have a 14lb pooch who is a self regulator (ie. wont wolf down her food all at once, but graze here and there.) and have no issues with food or toys; meaning even if she has a nice juicy steak in her mouth, I can easily get it right out of her mouth with not even much of a protest. She also knows the leave it command, and will drop stuff for me to get away from her.
Despite those facts, I am still pretty leery of given her these..."just in case." But my dog is my baby... so she only gets it when I am right there with her and can supervise, and I make sure she is actually chewing them.
The variety is nice, and the smell isnt as bad as some bull's stick, or hooves or whatever on the market. Also, the ingredients are all natural, which is important to me.
However, I worry too much about the pieces being so small....so despite the fact that she likes 'em (she is a very picky eater.) This will probably be the one and only time I will purchase this product.

(More customer reviews)These are pretty good. In my opinion, they aren't nearly as good as the Teriyaki Beef Steak Nuggets (which are sort of similar), but they aren't bad either. They have sort of a prime rip au-jus flavoring, but you can tell that the meat itself isn't prime rib. It's definitely work a try to see if you like it.

(More customer reviews)Actual dried duck filets (minimum crude protein 68%, min. fat 2%, moisture 18%). don't know how they do it at this price, but of course it is a product of China. It states on the 2 lb bag that 9 lbs of duck meat were used which would be typical for any jerky. Because it is solid meat (obvious to the eye and how it breaks apart) there should be No issue with melamine. Each piece is around 5-6 inches long, 1/2 to 3/4 " wide, and about an 1/8" thick with natural variance in size expected with dried solid meat and little to no smell. The bag is resealable. The treats have a typical dried beef jerky texture so they are consumed fairly quickly, at least by our dogs (60 lbs and 75 lbs) But most important, our dogs absolutely love them. Your dogs will thank you. My folks in a different state have been able to get these at CostCo at a very good price

(More customer reviews)I really, really liked these nuggets! These are akin to boneless nuggets you would find at a restaurant, but without the messy sauce. Of course, these are bagged, shelf stable nuggets - so they are a bit salty (which means you won't risk death upon eating them). I love the size of this bag as it is great for snacking - only 90 calories! The shelf life was great as mine don't expire until Dec. of 2011 (purchased Feb. of 2011). I will be keeping a pack in the car, a pack in my desk at work, and they are great for grabbing on the run for a quick snack. These are buffalo, so there is a good and HOT spice with them.
Another big thing for me is having something yummy, fun, and interesting to eat in case of an emergency (like a weather event that takes out the power). What would you want to eat - canned tuna or buffalo nuggets to get you through a power outage? See, reason enough to order - you can add them to your emergency preparedness bag - LOL.It looks expensive, but the price is actually really good. Less than you would pay in the grocery store and the smaller size bag means you don't have to refrigerate leftovers or over indulge (there is a lot of salt). I can imagine taking these camping, to sporting events, or anywhere that a "semi" healthy snack is warranted or you just get a craving for buffalo nuggets! Will definitely be purchasing more of these!

(More customer reviews)UPDATE June 2009: They changed the recipe so these are now more tender (good thing), but they got rid of the slight tangy vinegar flavor. Now they don't taste like chicken wings; just spicy chicken jerky. I will probably buy these about once a year now, instead of 1-2 times per month. Back to the Jalapeno jerky, when I can find it!
ORIGINAL REVIEW from 11/29/08: I don't eat chicken wings that often any more (200 fat calories per wing, being deep fried and dipped in butter). And I LOVE chicken wings! But if the flavor you crave is that hot sauce & vinegar comingling with a large chunk of tender chicken, then give these a try. If you're looking for the butter, crispy or chewy skin, and deep fried flavor components, then you won't have those here. I don't buy beef jerky anymore (which is also a favorite), I buy these! I just wish they weren't so hard to find locally. Circle K and Walgreens are the only retail locations I know of. Eat 1 bag, and you'll be addicted or nonplussed. There's not really a middle road.

I will not trust these as safe treats. Follow up: My dogs vomited after they ate these. 3/09 original warnings from FDA 2007 re: chicken product from China... a follow up was issued by the FDA again on 12/18/08 to remain vigilant and of concern if fed to smaller dogs.
