For that reason, lots of times I end up not liking hot wings which can be disheartening after you've gone to all the expense and work to create the wings. With this packet, I get the spicy flavor without so much of the heat.
I've used McCormick's Buffalo wing mix on boneless tenders, wings and legs and always had good results. You just coat your chicken pieces and place in your pre-heated oven. Super easy!
The only downside is if you like the skin on your chicken to be crispy, then it's a bit hard to do with this because it tends to brown/blacken somewhat easily both in the oven - I tried to crisp using the broiler in the oven - and out on the grill. You can get it a little crispy but you have to watch it like a hawk because one second it'll look fine and the next, it's blackening.
Bottom line: Tastes really good without being horribly hot, easy to use and I can even find it in the small town I live in.
