(More customer reviews)This was a great bargain in my opinion. I soak mine for about a half hour or so in water (it can steep longer if needed) and fry it up. Gives it a nice "fried chicken" texture. Tomorrow, I am considering trying some with some Shake 'n Bake for the first time ... we'll see how that goes. I'm excited to see what othed recipes I can use it in.

Textured Soy Protein (T.S.P.) Chunks are an unflavored and versatile food produced from defatted steamed soybeans.They arenormally used in place of meat for vegetarian burgers, casseroles, stews, soups and especially meatballs.For normal use, pre-soak in water or seasoned sauce to soften before using.NOW Foods T.S.P. Chunks are made entirely from soybeans.Through an extrusion process using forced air, a meatlike texture is produced.It has no chemical additives and is an excellent source of protein, fiber, magnesium and iron.
