(More customer reviews)I have to admit that I have only tried the tikka masala sauce to make the very well known chicken tikka masala dish. This sauce is FANTASTIC, and it is a large amount. The ingredients are completely natural (I believe there are only about 8 ingredients), and exactly what you would put in it if you were making it yourself. This sauce rivals the one from scratch out of Cook's Illustrated, and saves you about an hour of cooking down herbs, oils, spices and tomatoes. My husband grew up in London and lived off curries. Since he moved here, we have tried every jarred sauce and paste, including those from Whole Foods and Trader Joes. I believe that the key to these is that they are refrigerated and fresh, therefore, all the ingredients are still discernible. Better yet, at some Costcos, these sauces are available for $6.99. For me, I like the sauce a little creamier, and so I add some heavy cream. With that addition, this tub can easily serve six (with plenty for rice, chicken and dipping). Straight out of the tub, the sauce would serve 4+.
