"The timers on most cookers start at four hours, leaving you to set a separate timer for quick recipes, like cakes. This one starts at 30 minutes." Other top cookers were the expensive Cuisinart 6.5 Qt at $100 and the All-Clad 6.5 qt. slow cooker with ceramic insert at $150.
