Very tasty. I was worried that this would be too hot for some of my family but everyone liked it. Best with shrimp but it also works well with chicken.

Kikkoman Sweet & Sour Sauce Review

Kikkoman Sweet and Sour Sauce

...is because a major ingredient that ruins it is soy sauce. You just don't think of sweet and sour sauce as being salty. Instead of throwing it away or returning it to the supermarket where I bought it from, I mixed one part of the Kikkoman Sweet & Sour Sauce to one part honey to make it taste better. I bought it just to try something different but I'll never buy it again. I'll just stick with the La Choy Sweet and Sour Sauce which also does NOT contain high fructose corn syrup.

One of the things I wanted to see more of a selection of in the supermarket was chinese restaurant style sauces...they're simply the best:)Luckily the brand called 'House of Tsang' came out with a wide selection of sauces geared towards asian style meals and one I was thoroughly impressed with was thier classic stir-fry sauce.I must say it's a big improvement over Kikkoman's,In my opinion the House of Tsang is bigger on taste and backs off on the overly salty taste I get from Kikkoman's...Enjoy :)

Panda Express Orange Sauce, No MSG, 44 oz bottle Review

Panda Express Orange Sauce, No MSG, 44 oz bottle

I bought this when I couldn't find a sesame sauce I was looking for. What a nice surprise! Our closest Panda Express is 70 miles, so what a treat to find this! Taste is very tasty orange and ginger with some heat to it. Nice blend of flavors to use in a variety of ways. We've dipped chicken nuggets and egg rolls in it, plus you can pour it on some chicken breasts and then bake them up quickly in the oven. Sauce would be sticky to use as a marinade before grilling, but can be used as a sauce/dip for grilled chicken or for making your own orange chicken or orange beef at home! Two thumbs up from our house!

I was shocked to find this at Amazon! I looked here as a fluke - LOL
The store I currently shop at does not carry this product (old shopping store did) so I was quick to buy a six pack. Easy to make - I added additional veggies that I stir fried, then chicken, all the items in the kit and wow it is really good.
I am going to try shrimp and pork when I get the six pack. I also ordered the Wanchai Ferry Cashew Chicken, have not gotten it yet so I'll wait to add a review for the Wanchai Ferry Cashew Chicken.

I love this product and all the Lee Kum Kee products! I use this when I want a fast way to make chicken with black bean sauce instead of going through the trouble of soaking the black beans and making the recipe from scratch. Very tasty!

This Cashew Chicken kit has very good flavor and is easy to make. It doesn't include enough rice for my taste, so I add another half cup (before cooking). It makes enough food for two adults.

I received a box of this product from a sample program I am in, so did not have to pay for it. I don't love Orange Chicken, and usually choose something different, but of course tried it since it was free. I liked the meal quite a bit. It was very easy to prepare with clear instructions. You do need to buy and prep the most expensive ingredient yourself - the chicken, but most everything else is in the box (with the exception of water and oil for sauteing.)
The chicken was very tender and flavorful - you toss it in a seasoned cornstarch mix which makes it feel almost breaded (not quite) and keeps it very tender. I used half the oil called for it and it was enough. I also used half the orange sauce mix, because I didn't want the orange flavor too strong. I will use the rest of the sauce later, because it was very flavorful. The chilies are included with a few seed for some heat, but not too much.
I like to cook, so I don't normally get this type of thing, but I will definitely considering purchasing more of these kits. I do wish they were a little bit cheaper - if I ever see them on sale, I will snap them up for easy tasty dinners when I don't have time for cooking from scratch. If the product was a little cheaper, I would have given this 5 stars. For me, it is a priced a little bit high, but definitely a quality product.

Wanchai Ferry Orange Chicken Chinese Dinner Kit has orange sauce, long grain white rice, seasoned cornstarch and red chilies. Just add meat and you have a meal. The history about Wanchai Ferry food products is pretty interesting. In 1977 Madame Kin Wo Chong left her home in Qing Dao, China to start a new life along with business in Hong Kong. She actually pushed a wooden cart around the Wanchai Pier located in Hong Kong, selling her handcrafted dumplings made from an old family recipe. Today, Wanchai Ferry is a leading brand in Hong Kong and China. It is fabulous and you wont be able to wait to try this product.

Wanchai Ferry Sweet&Sour Chicken, 23.3-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 4) Review

Wanchai Ferry SweetandSour Chicken, 23.3-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 4)

This one (sweet sour) and the Kung Pao are very good. Both are better than many Chinese resturants. In the case of the Sweet and Sour the chicken you put in is considerably than the heavily crusted stuff you get at many resturants. I personally stir in a small can of pineapple chunks plus the one that comes in the box and a cut up green pepper and some cut up onion shortly before removing the wok from the stove. Too early overcooks and too soon results in cold spots. I dump the seasoning powder in a large zip lock bag and then toss the chicken in the seasoning. It makes for very tasty chicken. I also go beyond what the box calls for with the Kung Pao. I add some celery, onion and 1" squares of green pepper. I also add a table spoon of red chili sauce to the mix for added spice. It is adequately spicey for most out of the box. I found the spicy garlic to be quite good. I was unimpressed with Cashew chicken.
