(More customer reviews)I bought the spice grinder to grind cardamom seeds but they just fell through it unground. Then I tried it to grind ginger. That didn't work at all. Whole black pepper resulted in a very coarse grind. Maybe the spice grinder works for nutmeg. I don't know because I don't like nutmeg. It's cute, but if it doesn't work, it's a waste of space and money.
