Fortunately they both turned out to be tasty worthwhile investments. Using this base, along with some powdered bullion I bought here as well, has enabled me to make the best veggie beef soup in the united states. Try it, its very good

Kikkoman Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce Review

(More customer reviews)I've always been a big fan of Japanese Teriyaki, and every once in a while I used to go through a local drive through that served a steaming hot bowl of rice topped with sliced grilled chicken breast and topped with their thick, sweet teriyaki sauce. It was absolutely delicious and very cheap, but unfortunately they went out of business.
In the meantime I stopped eating teriyaki because I didn't realize there was a thinner version, more like soy sauce. Enter: Kikkoman Teriyaki Marinade and Sauce. I was at the store looking to pick up some soy sauce when this caught my eye. I was surprised at how thin it was, it has the consistency of soy sauce. I was very pleasantly surprised when I got home and cooked up a pot of basmati rice and topped it with this teriyaki sauce, it was wonderful. It's slightly sweet, full of flavor, and has 610 mg of sodium vs. 920 mg of sodium in one tablespoon of soy sauce.
I now always prefer this to soy sauce and it's become a staple in our household.

Weruva Paw Lickin' Chicken Canned Cat Food Review

(More customer reviews)I adopted Layla as an older cat (~7yrs), and she had chronic diarrhea and was underweight, but also a finicky eater. My vet prescribed special IBS canned food, which Layla hated with a passion, so in an effort to coax her to eat, I would let her eat cheap gravy food (the only food she kind of liked) along with shredded chicken I would cook. This was either hit or miss with her, and I frequently ended up wasting food because she either flat-out refused to eat it or wouldn't eat all of it. Even with frequent vet visits and medicine, Layla proceeded to get sicker with her IBS, and out of desperation, I ordered the Paw Lickin' Chicken along with some other flavors. Layla absolutely adores it!!!! It looks and smells like human food, and is clearly high quality (it looks exactly like the picture). The other cheaper food would sometimes make me gag at its consistency and the poor quality of the meat, but Weruva is wonderful! It is high in water content, so I know Layla is staying hydrated, and it's also so easy to wash out of the bowl, unlike gravy food or pate. The other thing I've noticed is that Layla doesn't need as much food to stay satiated. She eats about three 3.0 ounce cans a day, and has no problem with grazing on them throughout the day, which she wouldn't do with the other food.
Economically speaking, yes, Weruva is a more expensive food ounce for ounce, but the money I save on waste actually makes Weruva cheaper for me. Plus, when you compare the price to the quality of the food you receive, Weruva is a far better purchase than the more popular high-end cat food (which cost the same). However, the most important point is that I now have a very happy cat without IBS symptoms, who is finally gaining weight, and this is priceless to me =).

Norpro Cast Iron Pig Bacon Grill Press Review

(More customer reviews)Just had a chance to try out the bacon press tonight for BLT's--it works great! We love our bacon nice and crisp, and this little press does the job great and seems to speed up cooking time (perhaps because the cast iron "holds in the heat" while the bacon fries?). Bacon was crisp and delicious; the press prevents bacon curling and relieves you of the neverending task of flipping bacon over and over and over again when cooked conventionally. This press is a great addition to my kitchen; only gave it 4 stars, simply because it isn't quite as heavy as I would like, although it still performs well. Just make sure you season it before first use (directions in the box---just oil the press, oil a frying pan, then heat both together on VERY low heat for 20 minutes. Allow to cool and wipe excess oil off press). But don't use it with nonstick pans!
