PureBites Cheddar Cheese Dog Treats Review

(More customer reviews)My dogs LOVE these treats. I plan to continue buying them. A really good value when you buy the 20.4 oz package. Costs you more in the stores per oz, plus the stores usually don't stock the larger size.

Halo Spot's Stew Chicken Recipe Puppy Food Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have a finicky puppy. That's right, puppy, not kitten. I know this is hard to believe. After all, dogs are to food as, well, dogs are to food. Except mine. Oscar has tried a number of different foods -- all top of the line. And while he initially seems to like them, his early enthusiasm fades quickly. We're still giving Halo a chance -- sort of a last effort before adding canned food to the mix, something we desperate want to avoid. So far, so good. Certainly worth a try for those starting out and those contemplating a switch.

Flavor-Doh Chicken Flavor for Cats, 200gm Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)So, I bought this product to help my cat take a pill. It was the chicken flavor. It seemed like a nice alternative to using pill pockets. He ate the very first pill and that was it. i tried a few more times and it was almost as if he did not even recognize the product as food. I tried to email the company about the "flavor guaruntee" and the email was returned as undeliverable.
Bummer...
Honestly, my best alternative to help with pills are a product called, "Lean Treats". I cut the pill into smaller pieces and break the treats in half. He likes these the best.

(More customer reviews)After a week of struggling to get my older cat to take a pill twice a day, I tried these Pill Pockets and now the cat begs for his pills. I divide it in half and give him one half without a pill, and then give him one with the pill. He begs for more!

(More customer reviews)I bought Halo based on the quality of ingredients, however, my Cavachon dog refused to eat it. She has become a finicky eater, and eventually settled on Blue Buffalo. I still think it's an excellent product though.

Fancy Feast Appetizers for Cats, Chicken & Beef, 2-Ounce Tubs (Pack of 12) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have two cats and they are both addicted to the Fancy Feast appetizers. What a mistake it was to buy this food as now they don't want anything else! It is so expensive. Ugh! They could both easily eat 3 of those little plastic tubs a day (let's see that's about $240.00 amonth if I get it on sale). Do they put heroine (just kidding) in this food or what? I can't figure out what makes this food so desirable. My cats would rather eat this than fresh roast chicken or salmon. Makes me wonder. Also, in reading another review, I note that it appears that this food does not to meet all the daily nutrional requirements for cats so though the cats may want to make a steady diet of this food, it apparently is not a good idea. I going to take a look at the Fancy Feast website and see what it says regarding the nutrition. These are not really appetizers in the traditional sense since once the cats have eaten the appetizers it spoils their appetite for anything else but yet they are not filled up-- they just want more.

(More customer reviews)I have 3 cats and they are little piggies and none of them would touch these...wouldn't even TRY them. One of my cats will eat just about anything you offer him and he wouldn't even try them. They gobble up the Liv-a-littles dehydrated chicken so I thought I'd try these. Whole Life Pure Chicken Pet Treats (4-oz bag) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have a sickly cat who needs to be coaxed into eating. Crushing these on top of his canned food stimulates his appetite and encourages him to finish his food. Only downside is that I found some really sharp, hard pieces in the bag that I felt may choke some cats or small dogs.

6-PACK Pill Pockets for Cats CHICKEN 9.6 oz (270 pockets) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)These Pill Pockets are a total god-send. I have two cats, one of which has to be 'pilled' twice daily. This has meant a horrible process starting with her being wrapped up in a blanket. Now, thank heavens, we no longer have to go through that procedure. I simply pop her tablet into a Pill Pocket and she eats it up. My other cat is beyond fussy: she won't even touch fresh chicken, salmon, cream ... none of the normal cat 'treats' we humans offer. However, she actually BEGS for the Pill Pockets, which I now give her minus any medication as a treat. I recommend that anyone with a cat or dog keeps a packet of these handy. And if your pet is super fussy, they just might like these as treats. In fact, I'm so happy with them, I have already placed another, larger order. The only 'complaint' I have is that they only come in two flavors.

Liv-a-Littles Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We call this kitty crack because we can literally get our cats to do anything for it. If they won't come in at night, we shake the bottle and they come running. They jump up on the chair and sit up for a small piece. It is nice to have some kind of control over this uncontrollable species!

Greenies Pill Pockets for Cats, Chicken, 1.6 ounce Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have three older cats who take arthritis pills. One also takes a thyroid pill. I decided to try the pill pockets. For the first month or so, they all loved them, and they made it easy to give the pills. However, after three months:
One cat still loves them. I have to watch her carefully or she will steal the pills from the others.
One cat has figured out how to eat around the pill.
One cat sometimes takes them, but at other times just sniffs the pocket and skips it.
I have figured out a few tricks that help:
There are two types of pockets for cats: chicken and salmon. The chicken is slightly larger and more pliable and works better with larger pills. However, I think that the cats find the salmon tastier.
Get another cat treat and stick it to the side of the pill pocket. Then place the pocket so the treat faces down. My finicky cat is much more likely to eat the whole thing that way.
The pill pocket still helps with the cat who eats around it. After she eats the pill pocket, it is easier to shove the pill down her throat. She is more likely to swallow it instead of spitting it out if it tastes of pill pocket.
If you have two pills, try to fit them both in one pocket. Giving the cat fewer pockets will make it seem more of a treat.
