That experience led me to research feline nutrition both online and by talking to animal nutritionists. If you read the ingredient list in Iams Weight Control, you'll see that most of the first few ingredients are corn and other grains. Cats are carnivores and need a high-protein diet, not a high-carb diet. The extra carbs are stored as fat. If you have an overweight cat, steer clear of Iams and go with a high-protein, low-carb, grain free premium food.
My two young cats eat a variety of high quality food. I feed them 3-4 times a day and they are at a perfect weight. Their coats are shiny and soft. You can feed your cats a lot better food than this.

Where is this product headed? Will it be available at all soon? IAMS needs to make up their mind as to whether they are going to continue this product or not.

We were truly delighted to finally find a canned dog food that they both like and that is good for them. Oddly enough there is a chunky variety of this brand and the girls even rejected that.
The local Humane Society loves us because we have donated so many cases of canned dog food that our girls rejected, we will continue to donate as we always have but in the form of checks--they do great work and they need our help, please consider donating what you can to a local Humane Society or animal rescue because they really need our help.

(More customer reviews)I have an 8-year old West Highland Terrier that I recently adopted. She only eats her dry dog food with Little Cesar's wet food mixed in. The wet food is $1.00/day, so it's getting very expensive. I thought I would try these because my previous dog (who passed away) loved it. It's working really well and I'm slowly weaning her off of it. I'm on the last can of Little Cesar's. I'm glad I ordered a full case of this sauce. :)

(More customer reviews)I finally found a product that my dogs absolutely love. I have tried numerous brands and in several varieties but my dogs never seemed to wait so eagerly to be fed. I have tried all three flavors of this brand but they seem to like the chicken and rice flavor the best. It makes their coats shinier and it gives them a general all around healthier look about them. Now that I've found something they truly enjoy I hope they don't raise the price. A good value, in my opinion.
