Then I open them at the top and only put on the hot pepper & seasonings. Hold it closed and shake it up. Now, enjoy! It's even better if you eat them with a Van Holten's Hot Mama hot pickle. Can you say YUM?

(More customer reviews)As a Thai-American growing up with a Thai mother, I ate Masaman frequently, and usually saw my Mom with this brand. It is absolutely delicious.
When I have friends who tell me they don't like curry, I make them try this. It is sweet (being made with coconut milk and cinnamon) and savory (having potatoes and peanuts), only mildly spicy. Since it is made with coconut milk, it is also naturally dairy free!
It is also highly adaptable - the recipe calls for potatoes, onions and chicken, but you could also use beef, shrimp, pork, or throw in some carrots, whatever you want!

The flavor is so wonderful that you don't even realize that there is no salt in it. Just try it once, you will love it, too. It is great on chicken, but I really love it on lean beef with snow peas or broccoli served on brown rice. Yummy!!

(More customer reviews)I was a bit nervous buying something in bulk when I didn't know what it might taste like, but I've had NOH products before, and they didn't sell the Korean BBQ marinade in the Chinatown stores I frequent.
The first time I made it (with red meat) my husband said he loved it, but I didn't get to taste it until a couple days later. Bad idea, he confirmed. The taste was so completely different than when first cooked. Probably could've given myself food poisoning, too.
The second and third and fourth time, we grilled the chicken after marinating it overnight. Bad idea. I still had no clue on taste because the charcoal taste overpowered it completely. Waste of marinade.
This week, I tried marinating chicken and placed in freezer for 2 weeks. Let thaw and marinate for 2 days in fridge. This time I just baked it. The aroma and flavor was tremendous. My picky 2-year old even loved it. And this time, two days later, it was still super tasty.
My only warning is that the packet STINKS when it's first opened. That's not how it tastes, nor how it smells once it is reconstituted with water. That first whiff is just horrible, but the flavor is great.
Is it true Korean BBQ? Um...it's the Hawaiian version of it. Still super tasty, but maybe not 100% authentic.

Usually I do share it with a family member, but if not, the leftovers make a tasty lunch. The flavor of the sauce is very authentic. Not too heavy or light-just right. The amount of rice noodles is substantial. The package makes a good size meal for two. I add my own chicken pieces or shrimp along with some green onions, and if I have some broccoli, I'll throw that in as well. This is a great item to keep in your pantry for when you want something different and exotically tasty.

(More customer reviews)I am very sensitive to MSG and all its derivatives (yeast extract, etc). This is the only Cream of Mushroom soup I have ever found that does not have yeast extract in it or MSG. Even other "organic" cream of mushroom soups contain yeast extract. I had to give up some of my favorite recipes because I couldn't find a cream of mushroom soup that didn't cause me to have my "MSG headaches." Well not any more. I can enjoy all my favorite recipes again! This soup is great tasting and adds wonderful flavor to my recipes. I even love how it comes in a carton rather than a can. The quality of the soup is great and the ingredients are all natrual. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has MSG sensitivities or who is just looking to add more great tasting natural ingredients to their recipes.
