Chef Paul Prudhommes Magic Seasoning Blends has been in business since 1982 when customers from Chef Pauls New Orleans-based K-Pauls Louisiana Kitchen restaurant began asking to take home the chefs unique seasonings. What was once a garage-housed operation has grown to a 50,000 square-foot plant. Currently, Magic Seasoning Blends offers all-natural, MSG free products in sixteen different blends; Magic Pepper Sauce; seven ground, dried Magic Chiles; four Magic Sauce & Marinades; and several cookbook gift-packs.
To use Magic Seasoning Blends in Chef Pauls recipes simply add up the amount of dry herbs and spices called for in the recipes "Seasoning Mix". Substitute the appropriate blend (for example, if you were doing a chicken dish, youd substitute Poultry Magic) in the proportioned amounts for each cookbook listed below:
Substitute approximately ¾ the amount for Chef Paul Prudhommes "Seasoned America" CookbookSubstitute approximately ½ the amount for Chef Paul Prudhommes "Fork In The Road" CookbookSubstitute approximately the same amount for Chef Paul Prudhommes "Fiery Foods That I Love", "Louisiana Kitchen", "Kitchen Expedition", and "Louisiana Tastes" cookbooks
If a recipe calls for a sweet spice or an unusual ingredient subtract the amount of sweet or unusual spice prior to adding up the dry herb seasoning mix, then add back the subtracted ingredient(s) to the Magic Seasoning Blends amount required for the conversion.

This gives everything you put it on that smoked bar-b-q flavor.
It does have a little bit of a bite, but it is delicious.

I have been using this seasoning for years, spicy but not overpowering just the right amount of ingredients to have a tasty turkey or chicken.
I was very happy to find this after using my last bottle and our local grocery store no longer carries it. I have yet to make a turkey without this for at least 10 years or more. Chef does a wonderful job with all
his seasonings but our favorite is Poultry Magic.

Chicken of the Sea Imitation Crab Meat, 3.53-Ounce Pouch (Pack of 12) Review

Chicken of the Sea Imitation Crab Meat, 3.53-Ounce Pouch (Pack of 12)

I originally discovered this product at Target. Since then I have not been able to find it anywhere else. What's more, at Target it was about 3+ dollars per pack and on Amazon you'll pay around half that.
Don't let the product name fool you. "Imitation" crab meat is really a blend of several types of "real" fish with seasonings, (not processed chemicals and such made to look and taste like crab). I love this because it doesn't need to be refrigerated and makes a lot of humdrum meals taste great. I add it to Mac & Cheese with some steamed veggies for a great casserole, or mix it with some mayo, a dab of mustard and some sweet pickle relish for a great sandwich filling. I hate to sound clichéd here, but truly, the possibilities are endless. Again, this makes a great change from tuna and goes over great with hungry children.

Lobster Base Review

Lobster Base
Average Reviews:

Thank you for carrying this product. My husband and I used to go to Chi-Chi's Restaurant many years ago before
they closed in Bowling Green, Ky. The Cancun Seafood Enchilada and Sweet Corn Cakes were our favorite. I was
able to find the recipe for the corn cakes in a cookbook I purchased, but I could never find the recipe for
the Cancun. I made several attempts to prepare our favorite dish, but no matter what I tried, I couldn't
come close. I finally just gave up, and then, a few weeks ago, I found the recipe on the internet.
I was so excited, and made my grocery list for the ingredients that were needed. Well, I found everything
I needed, but you guessed it, the lobster base.
I went back on-line and did a search on lobster base. After checking out all the companies that popped-up,
I decided on Amazon.com. I found the amount and cost range I was looking for. I placed my order and within
a few days I received it.
I surprised my husband one night for dinner with our long-awaited favorite dish and when we took our first
bites, we looked at each other and smiled. That was it, the taste I thought was lost forever, had been found.
Thank you for giving me my missing ingredient......Better than Bouillon Lobster Base!! Now I'm searching for
more recipes that I can use it in.
Thank you,
P. Bush
