Taco Bell Bowlz are basically the innards of a Taco Bell Burrito, sans the sour cream, lettuce and shredded cheese. If you feel a Taco Bell jones coming on and don't have the wherewithal to hit the drive-thru, having some Bowlz on hand can curb the craving.
Compared to other shelf-stable meals this size, they're pretty cheap and not drastically high in calories. The volume looks fairly small, but the amount of beans in these makes them very filling. Compared to a similar entree at Taco Bell the restaurant, however, you might actually be getting more food for your money at the drive-thru if you're not driving miles out of your way to get there.
The Chicken Chipotle Bowl is quite tasty, with plenty of flavorful chunks of chicken and a sauce that is spicier than most of what you're going to find at the restaurant, even spicier than a Fire packet. Since I like spicy food, this was a pleasant surprise for me.
If you like Taco Bell and want a convenient way to feed the occasional craving while exercising more control over your calorie count, this is a reasonable option.
