(More customer reviews)I read many reviews about this product on the PROWL website and was convinced that this was what I have been waiting for. My cats, however, did not share my sentiments. I have two large cats (one is 10 lbs. and the other 24 lbs.) who are finicky eaters (no tuna, no salmon, turkey in small amounts).
For the past three weeks I have been working to transition the bigger guy to the PROWL product. I usually give him a 1/4 can of Friskies wet food in the morning. At first I just added some PROWL to that amount to gradually introduce the flavor/scent. He tried to eat around it and fastidiously avoided the little pieces of chopped carrots and spinach that are part of the mix. After 3 weeks I'm giving him 1/8th of the Friskies and the rest PROWL. Most of the time he finishes about half the bowl over the course of several hours - as opposed to wolfing down the Friskies in one sitting. He simply doesn't like it - contrary to what the reviewers on the PROWL website described about their cats.
The company has been very helpful with hints and suggestions for transitioning but I don't think PROWL will be in my cats' future for very long - although I wish it were possible because the product seems to be of high quality. Maybe your cats will feel differently about it.
