If you like HOT, get the hot, if you prefer mild, get the mild.
In a hurry and need to cook something that tastes like you went to a little trouble? Fry up some good quality meat and a little onion, then dump the whole lot into a pot ---with some firm, fresh vegetables if you'd like (carrot always is good, maybe cauliflower or broccoli, use your creative imagination to add some nice color and texture too), a little water, and the chunks of curry you'll find in the packet (they look like interconnected, moist, giant bullion cubes--use the whole packet, now--yes, the whole thing--for best flavor). While it's simmering away and thickening, fire up the rice cooker and make some nice, fluffy rice, and voila--a meat curry on rice, and people who've never had this stuff will believe you labored over a hot stove for hours.
I first encountered this "sauce" (it's more of a solid than a sauce when you buy it, it becomes a sauce when you cook it) in Japan, many years ago and was delighted that military commissaries carried it all over the world (as well as here in the USA)--the Japanese were mad for it, with good reason--it is incredibly convenient, it is tasty as all get out, and it does the trick if you like a ribsticking "curry gravy" meal in a short amount of time.
