(More customer reviews)The soup base appears as a black tarry goo thrust in a plastic pail. However, when put into water and boiled the muck turns into a savory soup too good to imagine. Take two whopping tablespoons of gunk, put it in a large soup vessel filled with water, boil it, add fresh vegetables and cut potatoes and you have a dinner beyond compare for a paltry price compared to canned soup. I make south american beans with the base tool. Enjoy!
