(More customer reviews)I got two kittens at approximately the same time. One was a failure to thrive kitty with a comromised immune system and one was a "Hey let's go eat everything in the kitchen and see how big we can get" kitten. At the time I got them from Foster Care, both wighed 5 pounds. The failure to thrive kitty was 7 months old and the "go get um" kitty was 3 months old.
I went to a lot of trouble to get "kitten food as I felt it would meet the nutritional needs of both animals so both would have the optimum chance to grow and and become as strong as possible. Both had been eating dry food in their foster homes. Both were male and I felt both should have more water in their diets to prevent urinary tract problems. Besides, most cats inhale wet food if they have been on that "dry stuff" for any lenghth of time. Neither cat would eat it. I finally fed it to the feral cats that live in the area. The ferals seem to have estabished a good "feel sorry" for them "old ladies cat group" who leave food out on a non-scheduled basis. When the ladies remember to put it out , they do, and the ferals just seem to have a scouting system set up to check out the "route" daily and see who has food out. I am the "old lady who fed them cases of kitten food because my cats would not touch it. So--maybe other cats or kittens might like it. The ferals scarf it down, but not my guys who are not notably picky, but do have favorites. Mine would rather eat a 38 cent can of anybrand seafood feast than this.The failure to thrive guy now weighs 8 pounds and "Mr. eat the kitchen" weighs 10. All is well.
