Tone's was suggested by Amazon and it proved to be a great choice. For times when you need a bit more, or when you just need gravy to accompany an entree without any, this is just the ticket. Make as much or as little as you need, and adjust the thickness with water. Win, Win overall!! No kitchen should be without it!

Tone's Brown Gravy Mix is a rich brown gravy that will enhance any dish. With just water and 5 minutes of cooking you'll have a smooth, tasty gravy. Serving Suggestions Tone's Brown Gravy Mix is delicious served over mashed potatoes, meatloaf, noodles or sandwiches. Use as a base to prepare your favorite casseroles like beef & noodles or beef stew. Add mushrooms, beef and onions for a new flavor. For 1 Cup Gravy: Combine 1 cup cold water and 3 Tbsp. Tone's Brown Gravy Mix. Mix well, bring to a boil and simmer 3-5 minutes. For 1 Quart Gravy: Combine 1 quart water and 3/4 cup Tone's Brown Gravy Mix. Mix well, bring to a boil and simmer 3-5 minutes. For 1 Gallon Gravy: Combine 1 gallon water and 3 cups Tone's Brown Gravy Mix. Mix well, bring to a boil and simmer 3-5 minutes.

(More customer reviews)I learned about this spice blend from one of my favorite lunch spots that has a terrific grilled steak lunch special. Being a regular, the owner let me in on "the secret". It was Tone's Canadian Steak Seasoning. Just sprinkle it on and press it into both sides and grill. Its great at enhancing flavor and adding some "garlic bite". But be careful to not put on too much, it is chock full of flavor.
I also make a marinade for shish-kabobs with it adding red wine vinegar and olive oil. This has become a well-loved family favorite. I haven't yet tried it on other foods. It is so ideally suited for beef I feel it might be too much for chicken, shrimp, or other lighter meats. But on steaks... it is The Bomb... highly recommended!

Most people eat it on biscuits but I prefer it on toast. Try it!! You'll love it!! Buy a can and have the family over for breakfast, they'll be waiting to be invited back for more.

(More customer reviews)This paste makes a tasty addition to many foods and has better flavor than a powder or boullion cube. It dissolves readily in water, making it ideal for soups, stock, etc. It is, however, much cheaper if you belong to Sam's club. I don't, so Amazon was the next best option.
