(More customer reviews)I have 6 dogs... 1 takes valley fever pills & two are on thyroid pills and from time to time they require other medication.
They however are NOT willing to take it. Cheese, Peanut Butter, Cream Cheese etc. I've tried it all & They are wise to my tricks!
The Pill Pockets are great. They are so pliable that I just break off a piece of one, mold it around the pill and my dogs will nearly take my fingers off to get it!.
One of my dogs is deaf and when she is sleeping she has no idea we are there.. If I wave the Pill Pocket in front of her nose she wakes up and snatches it like a shark!
They are a bit expensive, but they last awhile if you just pull off the size needed for the pill.. It's a waste to use a whole one per pill. I can get about 4-5 pills out of 1 pocket.(using the large ones)

We have three "kids," Sturgis-the-Wonder-Peke, Bobette (aka Alien-Love-Child), and Ellie Mae Dobby Diana (our little rescue mix), who tolerated their dry food, but we could tell it wasn't something they got uber-excited about. Yes, they'd eat it, but no one seemed to be doing the happy dance prior to meal-time. Well, except for EMDD, who spent her first year being horribly neglected. She does the happy dance for just about anything now that her life has turned around. Anyway, the first time I put just a small spoonful of RGDC's over their dry food, our trio made it perfectly clear that this was absolutely the BEST food they've ever had! Noses buried in their bowls, tails wagging while they ate, and not a drop or morsel left behind!! Now, I am notified early every morning by Sturgis that it's time to get up and make breakfast. And in the afternoon, he does the same thing. EMDD makes us dizzy with her spinning happy dance. And Bobette simply hops around (which, for her very low-key self is almost as strenuous as kick-boxing). Meals vanish in record time! I've realized that if we ever stop adding RGDC to mealtime, I will have a canine hunger strike staged in my kitchen. There simply is no going back!! Bravo to RGDC for bringing "delicious" back to dog bowls!!

(More customer reviews)This is a great way to get dogs to take their pills willingly. My dog is very picky, but he thinks these are treats regardless of the pills inside. If you are giving a lot of pills every day you really have to shop around to get the best prices, and order in bulk. I buy both Small and Large pill pockets - 1 in Chicken flavor and one in Beef, just for variety. The Large pill pockets may be a better buy actually because each large pocket can be used to cover 2 or more pills depending on the pill size. The pill pockets are soft so you can mold this stuff like dough around any shape or size pill or capsule - once your sure your dog really likes them & doesn't hesitate to swallow them immediately. This is much easier and less messy than using peanut butter or hot dogs, and probably healthier too.
